Many people gather for New Years day party events. Here are five simple and affordable appetizer recipes that will be a hit at any New Years party. These hors d’oeres are fun and easy.
1) Avocado and Cheese Triscuits
This is a simple and fast creation that requires no cooking. You will need a small scoop to make these.
a) Large block of Velveeta
b) Several avocados
c) Box of Triscuits
Mash your avocado into a paste. Spread the avocado onto the Triscuit crackers. Now take your scoop and scoop balls of Velveeta out of the bar of soft cheese. Place these in the center of the avocado. Your simple appetizer is done and sure to please.
2) Hot Dog Cheese Poppers
Here are the supplies that you will need.
a) cheese slices
b) hot dogs
c) Pillsbury bake biscuits. Do not by the flaky biscuits.
Now place your biscuits on a cooking sheet. Preheat your oven to whatever the biscuits require to cook. Slice your hot dogs into bit size morsels. Work the biscuit dough so there is a dip within each one. Take your hot dog slice and a half a slice of cheese. Wrap the cheese around the hot dog slice. Now nestle your hot dog slice and the cheese into the dip in the biscuit. Simply bake the biscuit until done and you have a hot dog cheese popper.
3) Bisquick Bite Size Cinnamon Rolls
Here is what you will need.
a. a box of Bisquick
b. Cinnamon
c. Brown Sugar
d. Regular sugar
Follow the directions on the Bisquick to prepare dinner rolls. When the dough is complete roll it out flat with a rolling pin. Take the cinnamon, brown sugar and regular sugar. You will combine all there of these ingredients until it tastes right to you. It should be sweet and pleasing. Once these are combined spring about a quarter of inch thick onto the Bisquick patty. Now roll the patty into a roll and slice tiny bite size cinnamon rolls. Pop in the oven and bake. These are a nice simple and tasty finger food.
4) Avocado Eggs
Here are the supplies that you will need
a. a dozen eggs
b. four avocados
c. mayonnaise
d. paprika
Boil the eggs. Once they are done peel them and slice them in half. Remove the yellow yoke and discard. Take your avocados and mash them up with mayonnaise. Simply fill the eggs with the mayonnaise and avocado. Sprinkle paprika across the top. These are a little more healthy then deviled eggs.
5) Sliced Potato’s, Cheese and Tomato
Here are the supplies that you will need.
a. canola oil
b. six potato’s
c. shredded cheese
d. sliced tomato’s
Take your potato’s and wash them and then place them in the microwave. Microwave the potato’s until fully cooked. Remove the potato’s and slice them into this slices. Now take the potato’s and place them in canola oil in a skillet on the oven. Fry them until they are crispy and brown. Remove the potato’s and pat the oil away with a paper now. Now sprinkle the cheese across the top of the hot potato slices. and place a tomato slice into each cheese bed. Now serve. These are always tasty and fun.
