Important Note: Before reading these Bible verses, it is my hope, first and foremost, that we remember that the Bible wasn’t written to us, but for us. That said, we ought to approach the Bible as something more than a personal book that we come to in order to ‘get us through the day’ or ‘feel better’. I say this because these Bible verses on strength and being strengthened are singled out and obviously removed from their original context. In doing so, I am not advocating study that replaces thorough, contextual, exegetical work. It is my prayer that we remember to study the Bible as best we can in its original context before we recontextualize and seek its application to our own lives. With all of this in mind, here are 35 Bible Verses about strength and being strengthened, both of which are evidently available to all who call on the Lord.
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might.

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
1 Corinthians 1:25
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
