If you are like me, you are always looking for products to keep your skin clear and healthy, especially during the winter months. Here are five face washes that have proven their worth to me when it comes to cleaning and caring for my skin during winter.
My first suggestion is plan on Cetaphil. This standby is great for those with problem skin or during winter when your skin might be particularly sensitive. It’s a great soap when you need to avoid fragrances or other harsh chemicals. Cetaphil is mild and doesn’t lather so it can be washed off well. Look for Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar for Dry/Sensitive Skin for only 3.95 at your local drugstore or online at Medshop Express.
Next, I really like Noxzema for cleaning one’s face-it is affordable and always gives the skin a great tingle. I find it makes my skin too oily during the summer, but in the winter months it moisturizes it just right. A great product choice is Noxzema Long Lasting Microbead Cleanser. You get the tingle from the Microbead Citrus Formula and as it cleans it will improve your skin’s appearance. With added Vitamin C, especially needed during winter months, and orange microbeads, it deep cleans and removes excess oil, built up dirt and unwanted make-up. It is great in winter when you want to have a natural glow from invigorated skin. Find it for $3.99 at Drugstore.com or in your local drugstore.
Sometimes I like to wash my face when I am away from home and a great product for this during the winter is Buf Puf Single Facial Sponges with Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin. Each disposable sponge has cleanser in each sponge and it works to exfoliate dry skin cells to leave your skin smooth and soft. You can use it every day and it preps your skin for a moisturizer, self-tanning lotion or any kind of foundation. A box with forty sponges in it can be found for $5.75 at Walgreens.
Another great product is Johnson & Johnson’s Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. This dermatologist recommended wash is soap and oil free to make sure you face in winter is pampered. It does have a creamy lather and wipes aware traces of dirt and makeup with a quick rinse. I like to keep the pump in the shower so I can easily and gently wash my face every day. This wash is clinically shown to be as gentle as water and it won’t clog your skin. For only $6.49 at Drugstore.com you can find a great choice for winter.
A great option for dried out skin during winter is Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin. It deeps cleans without being over drying and is completely oil, fragrance and dye free. It refreshes your skin by helping it retain its own natural moisture. This is important because your skin loses about 25 percent of its ability to hold moisture in the winter months. You can find it at AmericaRX for $3.89.
