During the winter, my face becomes really dry, itchy, and even sensitive and irritated at times so I have to constantly find face washes that help combat these winter time skin issues. Over the years I have found 5 wonderful facial cleansers to help keep winter skin cleansed, nourished, and looking its best, and I will tell you a little bit about each of them and what they have done for my skin.
The first face wash I found that really helped cleanse and nourish my dry sensitive itchy irritated skin in the winter was Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin. The Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin was simply just a really light foaming cleanser that simply removed only makeup, dirt, and grim from your face without removing any of the natural oils from the skin. What I really liked about this facial cleanser was it was soap free, and soap free facial cleansers are always the best to use on your skin during the winter time to help prevent your skin and face from becoming dry and irritated. The ingredients in it are coconut oils, glycerin, vitamin c, water, and DMDM. The way I would use this foaming facial cleanser is by simply getting my face wet with warm water and than lathering some of the foaming facial cleanser into my face and skin. After I was done lathering my face and skin up with the foaming facial cleanser all I would do is pat my skin dry and apply my favorite moisturizing cream. I did notice after using this gentle foaming facial cleanser that my skin was super soft, well hydrate, and not tight and itchy, which is a plus for me.
The second face wash I found to work amazing in the winter time when my face needed a gentle cleaning and a little bit of moisturizer was the Kiss My Face Potent and Pure Shea Soy Facial Cleansing Bar for Sensitive Skin. This facial cleansing bar left my skin very cleansed and very moisturized after I used it at nighttime to remove my makeup and any dirt away from my face. I really liked this facial cleanser for the winter time because it is made from organic and natural ingredients such as shea butter that help nourish and protect my skin, which is what all skin need throughout the winter months. The way I like to use this facial cleanser is by getting my face completely wet with warm water and than by taking the facial cleansing bar and lathering it all over my face until all the makeup and dirt is completely removed. After all I do is simply rinse my face off really well and pat it dry. I noticed after using this facial cleanser not only was my face clean but it was tight and itchy and a lot of the dead dry skin caused by winter dry air had been removed. I definitely love this facial cleanser in the winter time.
The third face wash that works wonders for cleansing your face in the winter is the Blum Naturals Daily Exfoliating Grapefruit Face Wash. This face wash helps remove dry flaky skin from my face in the winter gently without harsh ingredients so the new skin underneath can shine through. This natural facial cleanser is made with all natural nourishing ingredients such as essential oils, fruit extracts, coconut oils, water, and vitamins. These ingredients not only help remove dry skin in the winter, but also help condition the new skin underneath so it doesn’t get all dried out as well from the winter air. The way I like to use this facial cleanser is by again simply rinsing my face down with warm water and lathering the facial cleanser right into my skin and face until it foams lightly. After I like to take some warm water and rinse all the exfoliating facial cleanser off and pat my skin dry. With this facial cleanser I would highly recommend you use a daily SPF facial moisturizer because your skin will need it after to help protect it from the sun and cold winter air.
The fourth best face wash I like to use in the winter time to help cleanse my face when it is really red irritated and itchy is the Lavera Natural Cosmetics Faces Cleansing Milk with Aloe. This facial wash is very gentle and made with very gentle nourishing and moisturizing ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, shea butter, almond oil, milk, aloe vera, jojoba seed oil, lavender, chamomile, Echinacea, olive fruit oil, soybean oil, glycerin, coconut oil, benzyl benzoate, and tons of other natural herbal extracts and essential oils. These ingredients really keep winter irritated skin calm, nourished and hydrates and the way I like to use this facial cleanser is the same way I have used the other ones we have just talked about above. After I use this facial cleanser my skin is always super soft and the layer of red dry flaky skin that was on it is completely removed, which means a whole lot less itchiness for me. I also think this is a great face wash to use all year round because it keeps your skin and face looking its best all the time.
The fifth and last best face wash for winter time for really super sensitive dry skin is the Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser for Face and Eyes. This facial cleanser is made with natural soothing ingredients like lavender, cucumbers, Echinacea, vitamin c, fruit extracts, essential oils, and antioxidants. I like to use this facial cleanser when my face gets wind burn from being outside in the cold dry winter wind because it helps add moisture back into my skin and cleanses it gently without irritating it and leaving it feeling tight and itchy. Again I like to use this facial cleanser the same way I would use the other ones we have just talked about in this article.
Now if you decide you want to find and try some of these facial cleansers for the winter time you can check them out on www.drugstore.com. All the facial cleansers I have just talked about cost anywhere between $3 and $40 depending on which one you get to use. I wish you all the best of luck at cleansing your winter skin and face and hope you can find the winter face wash you are looking for.
