Money can usually be found where you would least expect it, and will turn up when you aren’t even looking for it. But if you are looking for it, you should know where to look! Looking in these places certainly will not get you rich, but it just might be enough to buy you a nice cup of coffee or a double cheeseburger from McDonald’s!
1. Couch Cushions
Somehow, money always finds its way under the cushions of the couch. Not that this is a bad thing! Usually the change that falls out of our pockets goes unnoticed. Then it is such a treat when we later find it under the couch cushions. If you look under in your couch, you will be sure to find a few pennies! Don’t stop there though! Search every couch that you can find! You can find other couches at doctor’s offices, hotels, and hospitals waiting rooms!
2. Coat Pockets
Dig out your winter coat and check the pockets! Look in your old hoodies too. You may even want to go up into the attic and find all of the old coats that you can. Money can sometimes be forgotten in pockets. You may be surprised at what else you might find there!
3. Pants Pockets
Money loves to hide in the pockets of our pants. Dollar bills can stay in pockets for a long time because they usually do not fall out when washed. Check all of your old pants and shorts pockets for cash. Many times when we put clothes away because they are out of season, we may be putting them away with money inside! So dig out your clothes from this past season and see if you left anything fun in the pockets.
Money falls into the streets every day. Walk around for a day and you will be sure to find some money laying in the street!
5. Parking Lots
Visit your local Wal Mart parking lot, or any other big store parking lot. People are coming and going from there all day long and they are also dropping money. Now if you see someone drop the money, you should definitely alert them or give the money back to them. But if you just see money sitting in the parking lot, it can be yours!
6. Ball Toys
Have you ever been to a restaurant that had a children’s playplace? Do you know those big nets that have the thousands of tiny balls inside of them that you can play in? There is always money at the very bottom of those! You may need to recruit a small child to help you get that money since adults are not generally permitted in the children’s playplace.
Your car is like a change magnet. Search the cup holders and glove compartments thoroughly. Also check beneath the floor mats and under the seats! You never know what else you might find!
