I love trying different brands and varieties of frozen meals. When I want a quick meal, I want to enjoy it. I recently spotted New Healthy Choice Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo in the frozen dinner section of my local grocery store. This dinner has been “new and improved” so, I had to try it out. I purchased this meal and decided to write a product review about my experience. Here is what I discovered!
The New Healthy Choice Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo frozen dinner costs around three dollars. Not too bad for a healthy meal and a brand name frozen dinner. I like many Healthy Choice dinners and they are a big help if you need to watch your calorie intake and you cannot afford Jenny Craig. Seriously, this healthy choice meal has a lot going for it, in my opinion. Sixteen grams of protein, less than 300 calories, only two grams of saturated fat and lots of vitamins and minerals. Yay! I had tried this dinner before they “improved” it and my main complaint was that it did not have enough chicken in it. Well, guess what? Now, it does! Wonderful.
You can prepare this meal in the oven or in the microwave. I chose to microwave this meal because it takes over thirty minutes to cook it in the oven. Usually, I am pressed for time when I choose to eat a frozen dinner. The microwave cooking preparation only takes five to six minutes, then let it stand for two minutes and stir before serving. Very simple, easy and fast! I like that. New Healthy Choice Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo has chicken tenderloins in Alfredo sauce over pasta with broccoli. It also has a generous portion of peas and carrots. For dessert, there is a cherry vanilla crisp. Yum. I liked the menu.
I was very impressed by the improvement and the new premium chicken addition to this meal. It made it much more enjoyable and satisfying. The chicken tenderloins are very tender, delicious and they are in large pieces. Yay! The Alfredo sauce is thick and rich. The pasta noodles are tender, also. The peas and carrots were passable, needed lots of salt, in my opinion but, there was a nice portion of them. The cherry vanilla crisp dessert was very tasty. I did enjoy this meal and it was hearty and filling. Worth the money! I rate New Healthy Choice Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo four and one half stars out of five stars. For a frozen meal, a healthy one, this one is a winner. I will be buying it again.
New Healthy Choice Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo has two hundred and ninety calories in it. Only sixty of these calories are from fat. This meal is low cal and that is a plus!
