Black knee high boots (suede if possible)
Black colored hairspray
Black fabric (to make cat ears)
Fuzzy gray material (for cat belly, legs, and tail)
Glue gun and glue
Black fuzzy material (to place around neck and hands)
Long black cat tail
White face makeup, black eyeliner or crayon, and eye shadow (shades of gray)
Since I already had the jumpsuit and boots this homemade cat Halloween costume only cost me $13.00.
How to make a cheap and easy homemade cat Halloween costume:
For the cat costume you will need to add the fur, black hair, and face makeup.
First step- Start gluing pieces of fur to the boots. Place one piece of fur at the top of each boot then space it out until each boot is covered with fur. Allow like a 2 inch wide space in between each piece of fur on the boots.
Second step- Cut out a round piece of fur to place onto the tummy of your cat costume. When you glue the fur to the jumpsuit make sure you start the fur by your chest area and end it below your belly.
Third step- Cut some fur out and glue it to sections of your cat tail. Then place some black fur around your hands almost like a bracelet.
Fourth step- For the cat hair you can use your own hair or buy a short cheap black rocker wig. Tease your hair out to the sides spray lightly with regular hairspray. Then spray your hair with the black Halloween colored spray. Place the black headband on top. Now you need to make two cat ears. Once you have the cat ears cut out glue them to the headband.
Final step- The makeup is quite easy to apply. First start out by making your entire face white. Then use a black eyebrow pencil and go over your brow with the pencil. Do not make it too dark. Place black eyeliner underneath your eye and bring the line out from the corner of each eye about one inch.
Draw a line using the black pencil or liner from the beginning of your brow down each side of your nose. Paint the tip of your nose pink. Now make a few whiskers on each side. Draw a line from the bottom of your nose to the top of each side of your lip. Make it look like you have a mask. Use the liner and add stripes on your chin, forehead, cheeks, and under each eye. Grab your gray shadow and place it all over your face blending it in with the black and white. The best tool for this is to use your fingers.
Last step- Place some black lipstick on then add some gray shadow over it. You now have a cheap and easy homemade cat Halloween costume that can be used for a toddler, teen, or adult.
