Children’s Party Center in Midcoast Maine

by sawpan

Midcoast Maine offers safe living with affordable housing, wonderful outdoor activities with sailing, fishing, hunting, swimming in pristine lakes, hiking over trails by lakes and over mountains. The natural beauty of the coast in breathtaking, and the numerous state parks are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty for us and our future generations. The great outdoors offers us so many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed year round.

The coast of Maine is dotted with small towns and villages, many dedicated to the traditional way of life, with work centered around fishing and lobstering. Education for Elementary and High School is being consolidated into regional schools, so the services offered to the student have greatly improved. The Camden Hills Regional High School even has a performing arts auditorium! the University of Maine offers satellite classes in many towns, so that students can not only take classes on line, but also can have a true classroom experience.

The Playroom in Warren, Maine recently opened up with the goal to provide kids with a safe nurturing environment to come with their parents and enjoy special one-on-one play. The first phase that opened on November 3, 2009 is dedicated to the younger child, with a soft play area for the toddler. There are riding toys, a play house, doll houses, Lego table, a train table, toy cars and trucks, dress up area, dolls and more catering to children to age 6. The indoor bounce house lets kids burn off some energy, and the Fooz Ball, Air Hockey, and Basketball Games are fun for the older kid – this area will be expanded in the near future. The Playroom is developing programs for all kids, with art classes, sing-a-longs, Parent & Kid Yoga and exercise classes, Healthy Cooking for Kids, and much more will be coming soon. Also, professional entertainers children will be performing in the future. The party center is great, with a tile floor, balloons, popcorn, candy machine, and all the goodies kids love – wonderful place to have a party with a bunch of messy, happy, noisy lids and NO clean-up – they do it all for you.

If you want to take the kids for a swim in the middle of winter, there are several local YMCA’s , the Samoset Resort, and some hotels that, for a nominal fee will permit you to use their swimming pools. You can also rent a local Bowling Alley for a party for older children like the Oakland Parks Bowling Alley in Rockport, Maine.

If you choose to have a party in our own home, consider renting some fun games or a bounce house from Mini Me Rentals. They also offer a fabulous Sumo Suit that adults can wear and also burn off some steam as they bounce off each other, and make the kids laugh at the same time . A popcorn machine, cotton candy and bubble gum machine will also give the kids an extra measure of fun. I have rented Baby Gear from Mini Me Rentals, when I have had visitors with children coming up to enjoy the best Maine has to offer – fabulous seafood, great sailing, and beautiful cool nights

The fall foliage was brilliant, but as the trees drop their leaves, we prepare for winter in Maine. The hurricane season is over, and that is good, even though the last hurricane that we had was 20 years ago (or more). We are all looking forward to cross country skiing, ice fishing, racing down hills on toboggans, marsh mellows cooking over winter fires, hot cider, and a beautiful White Christmas.
