During this cold and flu season, I have decided to start using hand sanitizers in our home. For years I have read how hand sanitizers kill germs, but also cause super germs in the process, and because of this I have refrained from purchasing any anti-bacterial soaps.
However, my job working with children exposes me to too many germs, and with both the swine flu and the seasonal flu to worry about, I felt it was prudent to defend myself, and hand sanitizers are a part of my arsenol.
My local Curves gym has a hand sanitizer sitting on their front desk, and I loved it so much that I asked them where they bought it. The brand they are using is Comforts Waterless Hand Sanitizer with Lavender & Chamomile.
This is an attractive hand sanitizer! It comes in a small 8 ounce plastic container, and is a light lavender color. The bottle says that it kills 99.99% of germs! There is a cute picture of a baby bumblebee on the front, and it looks like it belongs in a child’s nursery.

Now for the best part of using Comforts Waterless Hand Sanitizer with Lavender & Chamomile, it smells amazing!. I love the scent of natural lavender, and this smells just like lavender oil. What is so great about this hand sanitizer is that the smell will linger for several hours after it has been applied.
The second best part is that Comforts Waterless Hand Sanitizer with Lavender & Chamomile does not dry out my hands like some hand sanitizers do. It contains aloe and glycerin, both of which are moisturizing and healing for the skin.
Comforts Waterless Hand Sanitizer with Lavender & Chamomile is distributed by the Kroger Company, and I found this in my Fred Meyer store, but I had a hard time finding it. Initially I looked across from the baby care aisle, where other hand sanitizers are sold, but ended up finding it located in the first aid aisle. I was elated to see that this 8 ounce container retailed for the low price of $2.50, a great bargain.
If you have had bad experiences with hand sanitizers drying out your hands, or if you are having trouble finding one that actually smells great, I hope you will give Comforts Waterless Hand Sanitizer with Lavender & Chamomile a try.
