Dancing with the Stars Fall 2009 premiere is still more than a month away, but DWTS partner information has been trickling in via Twitter ever since the list of participating celebs was made official on 8/17. Stay ahead of the viewing pack and read on for an up-to-the-minute (and technically, unofficial) listing of all of the Dancing with the Stars couples for the ninth season. Dancing with the Stars Couples – #1: Politician and former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and two-time DWTS pro champ Cheryl Burke. Cheryl took the title in season two with boybander Drew Lachey, and in season three with former NFL star Emmitt Smith.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #2: Singer Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff. Karina came in second with partner and ex-boyfriend Mario Lopez at the conclusion of Dancing with the Stars season three.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #3: Son of former DWTS contestant George Hamilton and comedian Ashley Hamilton and Edyta Sliwinska. Edyta is the only Dancing with the Stars pro dancer who has appeared in every season of the hit reality TV show.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #4: Former teen heartthrob singer Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson. Edyta finished in second place with her season 4 and 7 partners singer Joey Fatone and former NFL star Warren Sapp.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #5: Actress Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Maks and partner Spice Girl Mel B came in second at the end of DWTS season five.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #6: Olympic swimming medalist Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo. Alec and partner soap star Kelly Monaco took home the first-ever DWTS title.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #7: Actress and R&B singer Mya and Dmitry Chaplin. Dmitry is an alum of So You Think You Can Dance and was partnered with Holly Madison on the Spring 2009 edition of DWTS.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #8: Model Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough. Derek won season seven of DWTS with partner Brooke Burke.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #9: Former Ultimate Fighting Champion Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya. Anna finished in second place with partner NFL star Jerry Rice at the close of season two.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #10: NFL star Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova. Anna was the winner of last season’s Pick a Pro DWTS competition. This is her first year as a Dancing with the Stars pro.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #11: Reality TV star Kelly Osbourne and Louie van Amstel. Van Amstel has previously reached the DWTS semifinals with partners Monique Coleman and Lisa Rinna.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #12: Iron Chef star Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer. The SYTYCD alum finished third with partner Lance Bass in season seven.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #13: Snowboarder Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower. Chelsie danced last season with Rodeo star Ty Murray and the pair finished in fourth place. Note that this hasn’t been confirmed by either party; it’s merely that they must be a pair by process of elimination.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #14: Model/Businesswoman Kathy Ireland and Tony Dovolani. Tony has finished DWTS in third place twice with leggy partners Stacy Keibler (season two) and Melissa Rycroft (season eight).
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #15: Actress Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas. Mark is the reigning DWTS pro champ; he and partner Shawn Johnson took home the Mirrorball Trophy in season eight. He also won season six with Kristi Yamaguchi.
Dancing with the Stars Couples – #16: Singer Macy Gray and Jonathan Roberts. Jonathan finished season three in third place with partner Marie Osmond.
