If you’re in the mood something different in terms of decor this holiday season, here are some suggestions on where to buy a lovely artificial tree and decorations for a pink-themed Christmas.
Treetopia has several pink trees from which to choose. The Pretty in Pink Tree is a pale pink color which comes either unlit or with pink lights. A 5′ fully tree will cost around $139. If fushia is more of your shade, this site also sells the Punky Pink tree, a spiky, rock and roll cousin to the Pretty in Pink. Punky Pink comes in two sizes, unlit. A 6′ tree will cost $229. There are also several other styles and shades of pink Christmas trees you can find by searching on sites like Amazon. Your local Wal-Mart, Target, or home improvement store may carry pink Christmas trees also.
Now that you have your perfect pink tree, you have some options for decorating. I would suggest using clear lights or pale pink lights, depending on what color of tree you picked.
Silver and Pink Theme: Amazon sells a club pack of 125 silver and pink ornaments that contains a variety of shapes (teardrop, disco balls, snowflake, spiral, ball) and finishes for $49.99. This set also comes with fushia garland. If you don’t want the fuschia ornaments, a silver only set of 60 ornaments is also available for $24.99. Add extra shine with mirrored disco ball ornaments, lighted white LED garland, or silver beaded garland. There are plenty of “girly” ornaments you can find at shops like Bronner’s or on Amazon, such as ballerina ornaments, ballet slipper ornaments, pink flamingos, or dessert-themed, like these “frosted ornaments.”
Pink and Black: You can wrap your tree in beaded black leaf garland , black mini-garland, or black ribbon or lace found at your local hobby store. You’ll need some black ornaments, such as glitter-drenched black ball, plain black ball, or even some that are black and white or black and silver glittered sequin. Add interest with black and silver rhinestone snowflakes, black horse ornaments, or black and white jack-in-the-box ornaments. Really, your imagination is your only limit here, as there are black ornaments available in a variety of themes, like poodles, cats, bats, musical instruments, etc. Many such ornaments can be found online at Amazon by searching for whatever your particular interest is in.
Pink and Brown: Another interesting color combination is pink and brown. I suggest using a mocha-colored lit garland and sequined chocolate-brown sprays. Amazon sells a set of 100 ornaments in gold, copper, and brown that would look great with this theme. If you don’t like the gold ornaments, sets are also available that contain only shades of brown, like this one from Christmas Central. The ornaments in this set come in four different finishes: shiny, matte, glittered, and holographic. You could also accent the tree with ornaments in a pink shade slightly darker than the branches. When I think of pink and brown together, I think of cupcakes or chocolate candy. Bronner’s sells glass chocolate candy ornament sets, pink cupcake ornaments, chocolate latte ornaments, and personalized gingerbread girl ornaments. They also sell beige and brown coffee-themed ball ornaments.
These were just three suggestions for decorating a pink Christmas tree. There are many other themes you could create when choosing decorations, so have fun and get creative!
