Decorating Your Office for Christmas

by sawpan

Many of us spend more time in our office than we do at home. Decorating our office for the Christmas season will add a cheerful and festive feel to the atmosphere in the office. Tips on how to decorate your office for Christmas season.

The first thing to do is decide on areas in your office where you can put Christmas decorations that won’t interrupt your work, or interfere with clients. Purchase some poinsettia plants from your local grocery store or department store. Place them on your file cabinets, desks, and bookcases. To add a little pizazz wrap the plants with battery operated Christmas lights.

Purchase Christmas wreaths in various sizes. Purchase a large Christmas wreath already decorated, and hang it on the door of your office. Take some decorated mini wreaths and hang them on the front of your desk. You can also purchase decorated Christmas garlands and hang them across the front of your desk, and around your doorways.

Take some festive Christmas bowls and fill them with wrapped Christmas candy. Place these bowls of candy throughout your office. If you have customers or clients that come to your office, it is a nice treat for them.

Place a mini Christmas tree on top of your file cabinet. Have the people in your office participate in decorating the Christmas tree. Have each person bring in an ornament to be placed on the tree. Another cute idea is to decorate the Christmas tree with white lights. Take your business cards and place them on and throughout the lighted tree.

Hang lights around your windows, doorway, and around pieces of furniture in your office. Make sure all cords are tucked away or taped down. Purchase Christmas window stickers or Christmas signs and hang them on your windows, and the front door of your office.

Have each person in the office purchase a Christmas stocking. Take a red Sharpie and have them right their names on the stockings. Hang these stockings to the front of their desk.. Hang candy canes from the top of each Christmas stocking. These stockings are also great to place a secret Santa gift or a bonus inside the stocking.

An animated Christmas Santa or snowman in the corner of an office will also add a festive feel to your office. Decorating your office for Christmas will be a nice holiday welcome to the people at work, and the clients who come to your office. Purchasing artificial trees, garlands, and wreaths are a great economical choice. These Christmas decorations can be used for the next Christmas season. Christmas decorations that are pre-decorated can be found at your local department store, or at www.christmaslightsetc.com.
