Discount Military Ski Passes Available in Colorado

There are a variety of discount season ski passes and daily ski lift ticket discounts available to active duty and retired military personnel in Colorado. Ski resorts and ski areas would like to honor those who have served our country by making it possible for you and your family to get out on the ski slopes.

Many of these offers can be used by military personnel visiting Colorado. The benefits vary by ski resort and may be restricted to active duty military. The pass and ticket vouchers vary on available location pickup . Most require DOD Military ID for everyone seeking tickets and vouchers.

Loveland Ski Area

Loveland Stars and Stripes Pass (2010-11 season)
The Loveland Stars and Stripes Pass is restricted to active duty U.S. military members and their immediate family members. Those who are Retired, Retired Reserve, Inactive Reserve, Civilian Contractors, Standby Reserve, ROTC, Foreign Military are not eligible.

To purchase the pass, active duty U.S. military members will need to present valid military-issued ID cards. The immediate family members of active or active reserve military personnel are also eligible for this program. Dependent family military ID’s are required.

The Loveland Military Pass is valid for unlimited skiing and snowboarding at Loveland Ski Area for the 10/11 season plus 3 free days at Monarch Mountain and 3 days at Durango Mountain. Adult season passes are $ 149 and children’s (14 and under) are $99.

Loveland Retired Military Pass (new for 2010-2011 season)
Loveland Ski Area introduces the Retired Military Pass for retired U.S. Military personnel. The pass is valid for unlimited skiing and snowboarding at Loveland for the 10/11 season. The pass includes 3 free days at Durango Mountain and Monarch Mountain. Immediate family members are not eligible for this pass. Present your vaild retired military ID card to purchase the pass. Price $249.

The Stars and Stripes Pass and Retired Military Pass will be on sale starting Labor Day Weekend. The passes can only be purchased at the Air Force Academy ITT, Peterson Air Force Base ITT, PAFB Outdoor Rec, Buckley ANGB ITT, Schriever AFB ITT, Fort Carson ITT, FE Warren AFB ITT. The passes will not be for sale at Loveland Ski Area or any Loveland pass sales event.

Copper Mountain, Winter Park Resort, Steamboat Ski Resort – Patriot Pass (2010-11 season)
The Patriot Pass and the Patriot Pass Plus are the military discounted Rocky Mountain Super Pass. The Patriot Pass provides unlimited skiing and riding at Copper Mountain and Winter Park for the 10/11 ski season. The Patriot Pass Plus includes Patriot Pass privileges plus 6 days at Steamboat Ski Resort. The Patriot Pass is available all season but the Patriot Pass Plus not available for purchase after November.

All Patriot Passes require the purchase of a pass voucher at approved military locations which are then redeemed at the Copper Mountain or Winter Park Ski Resort season pass offices. No vouchers can be redeemed at Steamboat Ski Resort. To purchase a military skiing pass, you must present a valid Department of Defense Military ID card.

The Adult Patriot Pass for 2010/11 is $229 and the Adult Patriot Pass Plus is $239. The Children Patriot Pass is $114 and the Children Patriot Pass Plus is $124. Military members also receive ten $55 Friends and Family lift tickets to Winter Park Ski Resort and Copper Mountain that are valid any time during the 10/11 ski season.

Winter Park offers military discounts on day lift tickets with a valid military ID. Steamboat Ski Resort offers a 10% military discount on day lift tickets when you present your valid military ID at the ticket window.

Copper Mountain daily lift tickets are $59 for adults and $47 for child with valid ID.

Vail Resorts – Liberty Pass (2010-11 season)
Vail Resorts owns Vail, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and Breckenridge ski resorts. They have an additional marketing agreement with A-Basin Ski Area.

The Liberty Pass can be purchased by active duty and reserve military members with a valid military ID. Immediate family members with valid military ID are also eligible.

The Liberty Pass is only valid at Keystone and A-Basin. All passes must be bought at a Vail Resorts outlets, online, on base, and cannot be bought at A-Basin. The Adult Liberty Pass is $195 and the Child Liberty Pass is $112 (ages 5-12).

If purchased at the military bases or via VRI reservations the guest receives a voucher to redeem at the Keystone Season Pass office.

Monarch Ski Area (2010-11 season)
Active Duty military members can purchase adult and child military season passes with valid military ID. Adult military passes (ages 13-61) are $149 and child military passes (ages 7-12) are $99 for the 2010/11 ski season.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort (2010-11 season)
Active duty military members and their immediate family members can purchase season passes and discounted lift tickets with valid military ID. Adult season passes are $260 and adult daily lift tickets are $25 (11/24/10 – 12/15/10) and $49 (12/16/10 – 03/11/11). Young adult passes (13-17) passes are $113, and lift tickets $23 (11/24/10 – 12/15/10) and $44 (12/16/10 – 03/11/11). Child (7-12) passes are $113 and lift tickets are $13 (11/24/10 – 12/15/10 ) and $25 (12/16/10 – 03/11/11).

Military season passes can be purchased in person at the Crested Butte office, phone (970) 349-2261, or at a Colorado R & R kiosk. Military lift tickets can be purchased by active duty military, retired military, and Department of Defense employees.

Eldora Mountain Resort (2010-11 season)
Military members can purchase lift tickets and season passes with a valid military ID. Adult Military full day tickets are $TBA and the Military Season Pass is $149.00. Only active duty military members are eligible. The immediate family members of active or reserve military are also eligible. Dependent family ID’s are required. Retired military, Govt. Contractors, ROTC, Foreign military personnel are not eligible.

The Eldora military pass is valid for unlimited skiing and snowboarding for the 10/11 ski season all season. The pass is valid for alpine skiing/riding and for cross-country skiing. The military pass must be purchased in person at the resort or at Eldora Mtn Sports in Boulder.

Ski Cooper (2010-11)
Members of the military can buy lift tickets and military season passes at a discounted rate with a valid military ID during the 10/11 skiing season. Military passes can be purchased by ACTIVE and RETIRED military only. Military adult lift tickets are $37 and military child tickets are $20. Adult season passes are $TBA and child passes are $TBA. The Military Adult lift ticket is $37 and the Military Child ticket is $20. Call for Military season pass prices.

Echo Mountain (2010-11)
A military lift ticket can be purchased with valid military ID. Only available to active duty military. The military ticket is $TBA.

Powderhorn (2010-11 season)
Active duty military members and their immediate family members can purchase a full ski season pass for $299. The price is available anytime. Members can also receive $6 off window ticket price of ski lift tickets by showing their ID.

Aspen/Snowmass
Aspen/Snowmass is offering discounted lift tickets to active duty members of the military and their respective spouses. Present your valid military ID at any lift ticket window and receive a ski lift ticket for $TBA.

Wolf Creek (2010-11 season)
Active duty military and their immediate family members can purchase daily ski lift tickets with a valid military ID. Prices are $31 for Adult (13-64), $18 for Child/Senior (6-12, 65+), and $5 for Tot (5 and under).
