There are many reasons to live in Barefoot Resort , but I will discuss what I feel are the most rewarding.
1.Beautiful landscapes-As you drive across the Barefoot Resort Bridge, you will view the intercoastal waterway on both sides. Tthe Barefoot Marina is also in sight, with yatchs, jet skies and colorful sail boats dotting the water. Driving farther along, palmetto trees, tall pampas grass and beautiful flowers line the roads. The crowds and traffic of North Myrtle Beach are left far behind.
2. Pools-If you own a home in Barefoot Resort, you may use the pool at the residents club. It is a large walk-in pool with a shallow or deep area. There is also a separate baby pool for the little ones. The Barefoot Resort Condominiums boasts the largest pool in the Myrtle Beach area, which the homeowners are permitted to use. This pool is located next to the intercoastal waterway.
3.Residents clubhouse-This is the heart of Barefoot Resort.. There is a fitness center, pool, playground, tennis and basketball courts. There are also charcoal grills and picnic tables. Various activities are offered at the clubhouse such as line dancing, painting classes, water aerobics, crafts etc. Special events are planned, centering around magicians, local bands and speakers.
4.Beach Cabana- The Barefoot Resort has its’ own cabana on the beach. It is a large structure with restrooms, food and drink machines, lounge chairs and tables. There is even a handi-capped elevator. There are also ceiling fans and sunny or shady areas. A walkway leads from the cabana to the wide beach. The view from the cabana is breathtaking. There are two parking lots for Barefoot residents and a shuttle runs hourly to bring residents to and from the beach cabana.
5. Golf Courses- Barefoot Resort has four of the best golf courses in North Myrtle Beach. There is The Love Course, The Norman Course, The Fazio Course and The Dye Course, all designed by famous golfers. While golfing, check out the wildlife. I have seen ducks, egrets, blue herrings and even bear cubs roaming the courses. Golfers will enjoy the pro shops and an amazing driving range located on the Barefoot property.
6.Houses- The houses at the resort range from small to large. There are still some lots for sale, so you can design your own house or you can purchase an existing house. Houses next to each other cannot be the same color or style. Many of he houses are situated on lakes with pretty fountains in their middle.
7. Lakeside Conference Center- The Barefoot Resort has recently built a large center to hold numerous events. Weddings, reunions, business meetings and parties can be held at the center. There is a spa next to the conference center for your use.
8.Restaurants-Barefoot Resort has a variety of restaurants on the property but two of the better ones are;The Docksiders Grill and the Barefoot Bar and Grill. The Docksiders is located on the intercoastal waterway with a beautiful view. The Barefoot Bar and Grill is located next to the driving range and serves everything from pizza to delicious entrees. They also offer free delivery to residents.
In conclusion, if you want to enjoy all of what North Myrtle Beach has to offer, visit the Barefoot Resort. You will find it right behind Barefoot Landing. You might decide to stay for a lifetime.
