What would your brother or son most appreciate for Hanukkah this year? Let me fill you in.
1. Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Visually, Muramasa bests even 360 and PS3 games with its presentation. Smooth, crisp hand-drawn anime-like graphics are used for the entire game- making for an artistic bounty for the eyes. The hack & slash gameplay is fantastic, fast, and frantic. As the player dashes through the beautiful world, be prepared to be ambushed by ninjas and demons alike. Your son, brother, or guy pal is given two stories to play through, a number of blades to collect, and a huge 2D world to explore. Don’t let him miss this 2009 gem for Hanukkah! Swords, ninjas, and an awe-inspiring world- what more could he ask for?
2. The Conduit
Nearly lag-less 12 player Wi-fi play, fully customizable controls, voice chat with Wii Speak, several game modes, custom characters, and very impressive graphics all make The Conduit a must-have for guys this Hanukkah. The game takes many of the greatest features of the FPS genre and mixes them together to form the Wii’s greatest shooter experience- not just of 2009, but for the Wii’s life cycle so far! There’s no doubt that your brother, son, or guy friends would love this as a Hanukkah gift.
3. A New Video Game Console
No guy would turn down a new gaming console for Hanukkah. All three of the major home consoles saw a price-cut this year. There won’t be another reduction for a good while, so now is the time for consumers on the fence to dig out their wallets and finally get a Wii, 360, or PS3. If he loves shooters and online play, the 360 is perfect for him. If he likes to watch lots hi-def movies, go for the PS3 and its built-in Blu-Ray player. If he likes to play a lot of colorful multiplayer games or loves Nintendo’s world-renowned franchises (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid), the Wii is your best choice.
4. Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3
Naruto is immensely popular among guys- here you have a great Hanukkah opportunity. Releasing this November exclusively for the Wii is what looks to be the greatest fighting game based off the hit anime. A roster of over 35 fighters, Wi-fi play, and a huge number of extras are all awaiting him. Make his Hanukkah a blast with this 4-player giant among fighting games.
5. A Wii Nunchuk
The second half of Nintendo’s revolutionary Wii controller- the Nunchuk allows your son or brother to play Wii games with the analog stick, Z trigger, C button, and additional motion capabilities. Picking up him up an extra $20 Nunchuk for Hanukkah will allow them to play more games with his friends and allow you to evade the $50 price tag for an actual game. Happy Hanukkah!
