Fall is such an exciting time of the year and one of my favorite things to do in fall is to put out fall decorations. One of the best ways to bring fall festivity into the home is to put out fall table decorations.
Fall decorations do not have to cost a fortune nor do they have to be time consuming or difficult. Many times fall decorations can be taken right from nature and maybe even things you already lying around your home or backyard. If there are items that need to be purchased to make your fall decorations successful, you can typically find items that are relativity low cost.
Here you will find fall decorating ideas that include fall table decorations and fall decorations that are economical, easy and look beautiful.
Fruits and Nuts in a Large Glass Bowl
As simple as it sounds, the colors of some fruits and nuts placed in a type of glass container really gives the visual effect of fall. Placing a variety of deep colored fall type colored fruits and nuts such as red apples, pomegranates, pecans or whatever you find visually appealing in large glass bowls are really stunning. The glass bowl or container could be placed on a table for a lovely fall table decoration or any where in the house where some fall color is needed. Fruits and nuts are not often thought of as decorative pieces, but placed in glass bowls with textures and colors contrasting against each other, the visual effect can be quite appealing. If you want a longer lasting fall decoration, use fake fruit in place of real fruit, nuts last quite a long time so they should be fine in the glass container for a period of time.
Pinecones and Candles
A very easy, natural and low cost fall table decoration idea is using pinecones displayed in a layered manner around pillar candles. Candles always give off a beautiful glow and along with the pinecones, the effect is a very warm fall glow and feeling.
Gourds and Berries
This easy fall decoration looks wonderful on a table but the items can also be placed anywhere in the home where you would like to add a little more Fall festivity. The beautiful fall decoration incorporates nature items: small gourd pumpkins with leaves and berries arranged around pumpkins. This simple, yet lovely fall decoration makes for a low cost solution and stunning display. If you are feeling especially daring, a larger size pumpkin could be used and carved with a face or whatever design you choose and a candle placed inside. The carved pumpkin with the lit candle inside and the leaves and berries around the pumpkin give off a very warm, fall effect.
Sweet Treats in Glass Containers
Candy and sugar just seem like they go along with fall, sweet treats and candies displayed in a variety of glass containers make for cute fall decorations. Glasses jars of a variety of shapes and sizes looked great grouped together when they are each filled with candy items such as M & M ‘s, jelly beans, jaw breakers or any other type of colorful candy items. If you prefer to go with darker, warm colors just use items such as chocolates, dark licorice or any type of treat or candy that has a brown or warm color to it.
Leaves Falling Throughout the House
You could use real leaves for this fall decoration project but I actually prefer the fake fall leaves you can buy in a bag at craft stores. I use these leaves in so many ways, one of my favorite ways is taping the leaves on windows in a random fashion so they look like they are falling. I also tape the leaves around doorways which looks really cute and it is fast to do. I have even placed a pumpkin on the middle of my kitchen table as a centerpiece and then sprinkled some of the leaves around the pumpkin. The leaves are a great way to decorate and you can get so creative with them.
Fall decorations are so fun to find and display, fall decorating ideas can be as simple or as complex as you would like. Just look around your home and yard, see what you have available and if you are looking for additional inspiration go to your local craft store and see what they have on display, you can typically get a ton of ideas from a craft store.
