The unemployment rate is at a 25-year high but some big companies are hiring across the United States. Some big companies have posted hundreds of jobs in the last couple of weeks. Some need seasonal help but many of these jobs can lead to full-time employment. I know seven friends and family members who are unemployed right now. They are applying for these jobs in the big companies such as UPS, AT&T, Avon, Pizza Hut, and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Avon has 1,615 jobs posted in every state across the United States. I sold Avon for five years and can verify that for only $10 anyone can become an independent sales representative. The job is nice and you can make as much money as the effort that you put into it.
If being an Avon sales representative is not on your list then Avon also has fulltime jobs available in Ohio, New York, Oklahoma, California, and Louisiana. These jobs include District Sales Managers, Bilingual Sales Managers, and Order Fulfillment Managers.
UPS has posted 432 jobs in the past three weeks. UPS needs help in thirty-two states including the high unemployment states of Ohio and Michigan. The jobs range from part-time car washers to seasonal delivery drivers to business development managers.
UPS hires seasonal help every year and these jobs can lead to permanent ones. One of my close friends was hired on at UPS as seasonal help and four years later he is employed there on a fulltime basis.
AT&T has 1,155 jobs posted at careerbuilder.com. These jobs are in thirty different states and range from Account Executive to Bilingual Support Representative. AT&T is the largest communications company in the United States.
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has 428 jobs posted in thirty states across the U.S. Many of those jobs are for financial advisors but they also list a few clerical jobs and human resources jobs.
Pizza Hut is also hiring. Pizza Hut has 573 jobs posted in twenty-nine states. Of course Pizza Hut needs a large number of delivery drivers but they also list management jobs. Pizza Hut claims that it is about “making hungry people happy”. With the amount of jobs listed I would say Pizza Hut will make the unemployed happy also.
These employment opportunities from big companies across the United States may just be the kick start that this recession needs. There are other top companies looking for employees such as Midas, Comcast, and PSA Healthcare. There is a broad range of companies and jobs listed this week.
