The official FOX fall lineup for 2009 has been released and a few of my favorite shows did not get picked up for another season. I will miss “King of the Hill” and I know a lot of my friends are going to miss “Prison Break.” Some of the other series that are not returning include “Terminator: The Sarah Conor Chronicles,” “Mad TV,” “Hole in the Wall” and “Do Not Disturb.”
A new series that will air mid season for the 2009-2010 fall FOX lineup includes the new comedy “Sons of Tucson.” The third season of “Kitchen Nightmares” and the seventh season of “Hell’s Kitchen” will also air later in the year and are not yet scheduled according to Fox.com. Here is a 2009 fall lineup preview of your favorite FOX Network Primetime Shows.
Monday Nights on FOX
“House” returns for its sixth season from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and “Lie to Me” airs from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the fall. “24” is to replace this time slot in the mid-season starting January 2010.
FOX Lineup For Tuesday Night
Tuesday nights start off with “So You Think You Can Dance” from 8 to 10 p.m. and always brings in big ratings for FOX. “American Idol” starts its ninth season in January and FOX’s new drama “Past Life” airs during the 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. time slot. This new drama follows two past-life detectives and looks like a promising new series for FOX.
New Fall 2009 FOX TV on Wednesday Night
“So You Think You Can Dance” returns during the 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time slot and is followed by the first season of “Glee.” FOX has heavily advertised this new series and I’ve seen promotions for it everywhere. It looks very funny, silly and I can’t wait to watch it. “American Idol” will air at 8 p.m. mid season and FOX’s new drama “Human Target” will follow at 9 p.m. and is based on a graphic novel by DC Comics.
Thursday Nights Fall Primetime Line Up
Thursday nights during the 2009 fall FOX lineup include “Bones” at 8 p.m. and “Fringe” moves to a new timeslot at 9 p.m. for its second season.
FOX Lineup for Friday
I am really looking forward to FOX’s new comedy “Brothers” which airs from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday nights. “Til Death” gets a new timeslot from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. during its fourth season and “Dollhouse” returns at 9 p.m. for its second season.
Saturday Night Fox Fall Lineup
Saturday night is perfect for crime series fans. Two episodes of “Cops” will air back-to-back starting at 8 p.m. and “America’s Most Wanted” will air at 9 p.m. right after it. “The Wanda Sykes Show” starts its first season from 11 p.m. to midnight and looks like an interesting late night program.
Fall FOX Lineup for Sunday Night
Fox Sports “NFL Spillovers & The O.T.” will air at 7 p.m. and Sunday night Animation Domination starts off with “The Simpsons” at 8 p.m. The new comedy series “Cleveland” debuts at 8:30 p.m., “Family Guy” returns at 9 p.m. and “American Dad” fills the 9:30 p.m. timeslot.
