Handstands Jelly Sticky Pad Holds Phone on Dash

by sawpan

My husband attended an IT Expo event today, and came home with a bunch of freebies, one of which was a product made by HandStands. It is a “Jelly Sticky Pad” that magically holds phone on dash.

Description

HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad comes in a think plastic pouch, showing a rectangular shaped pad holding a Blackberry phone and some coins. If I had to describe this product, I’d say it’s about the thickness of a mouse pad, and it’s made of an almost clear gel like material.

The front and back are both covered with a very think plastic to prevent anything from sticking to the HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad. There is a small tab that reads “remove here”, and you simply pull it off.

How To Apply

After removing the clear protective plastic sheet from the HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad, you clean you place it onto a well cleaned and dry dash board. The directions say that if the HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad loses it’s grip, you remove it and clean the pad with household glass cleaner or plain soap and water.

UV Notice

HandStands suggests that you periodically move the HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad, because if you leave it in one spot for long periods of time, the sun’s UV rays will fade the interior of the car’s dash, but the color under this pad will remain unfaded.

Uses

HandStands suggests that this pad be used for handsfree or bluetooth use.

Our Experience

The back of the HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad is totally flat and smooth, and although tacky, it does not contain any adhesives, and leaves no residue on our cars dash. It can easly be moved from place to place, and the front of the pad has little holes throughout (they don’t go all the way through, they are more like dents).

The HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad measures almost 6 inches long, and 3 3/4 inches wide, and has a spot at the bottom for a company name or logo. HandStands makes these as promotional items for businesses, as a way to advertise their products or services.

Does it work? Amazingly enough, yes! I have a flip phone made by Nokia, and the HandStands Jelly Sticky Pad will hold it quite firmly, yet it pulls off so easily. Coins stick great when pressed to this pad, as do sunglasses and credit cards. I thought that hitting bumps in the road would make the items fall off, but they stick quite firmly in place.

What a great way for a company to promote their business by giving away these HandStands Jelly Sticky Pads!
