When I began to think about new, hot, electronic gifts for men for the coming holidays, I didn’t think that I would find much that I didn’t already know about. I consulted a few men, my husband, and my sons, to try to get a feel for what might be new and snazzy, like perhaps a mini microwave that plugs into your car lighter, or a GPS that also plays Blu-ray movies. My consultants did not offer me much, so I had to do my own research, and I did find several cool electronic gifts for men that you might want to tuck under the tree this holiday season. All of these electronic doodads can be found at www.gifts.com, as I love one stop shopping.
Loc8tor Lite Everything Finder
Were I still living with the aforementioned husband, I would most definitely purchase one of these for him for Christmas. The Loc8tor Everything Finder will quickly find anything that you lose often, like keys. My husband loses his keys 5 times a day and it is a crisis every time. This gadget works by attaching tiny, 5 gram, homing device to whatever it is that you lose frequently, be it your keys, reading glasses, or the remote. Then when your whatever gets lost, you press a button on the locater, and a beep and lights lead you to your missing object quick as a wink. Costing a mere $69, it is well worth it if it saves someones sanity-like yours, if you are tired of the menfolk complaining about the lost TV remote.
Multiple Gadget Charger
If the man you are buying for already has a boatload of electronic gadgets, perhaps he needs an all-in-one way to charge them all. The Sanctuary Charging Tray boast being able to charge more than 1,500 different types of gadgets and hand held devices. It also claims to organize wires, and to eliminate the need for those clunky wall adapters, and such. This charging tray also has room for a wallet, keys, and a phone. It’s any gadget guy’s dream come true. He’ll be the envy of the office, and all for $129.
USB Roll Up Drum Kit
Do you have a son who wants a drum set, but has no place to put it, and may or may not like it? What if you don’t like it? The answer is the USB ready, roll up drum kit. As the name says, it rolls up for easy storage under a desk, or in a drawer. It plugs into your computer’s USB port, and the included software allows the recipient to choose from 6 different drum kits, 48 rhythms, and 70 percussion patterns! Wow! Priced at 59.99, the cost is a lot less than a drum set, which should be music to your ears, even it the resulting gift noise isn’t. This electronic drum kit is Windows compatible, which is fine by me, as all of my kids own Macs.
iKaraoke for iPods
I asked one of my sons today, “Isn’t there a new iPod out?” He told me yes, and that he might ask for one for Christmas to replace his current iPod, but he also told me that there was nothing new about an iPod. Right. But, the iKaraoke is something new for the budding rock star! The iKaraoke plugs right into any iPod, and you are all set to sing along with any song using the microphone/processor. The iKaraoke tracks the lead vocal in the song, then fades it so that whoever is using it can sing it out without competition. This neat little gift only costs $29.95, which is a small price to pay if your fella becomes a super star, right?
Electronic Rubik’s Cube Challenger
I would love this gift and my mother would have loved this, as she is the only person I know who actually solved a Rubik’s cube. If you have a puzzler on your gift list, the Electronic Rubik’s Cube Challenger will tease their brains for hours and hours, thus keeping them out of your hair. It is all touch technology, rechargeable, and solvable. There is even sound and the lights respond to touch. You just touch the thing and slide any block from one place to another. Pretty slick, indeed. It can be yours for $129, and once the man in your life solves it, he can share it with you.
Clocky–The Alarm Clock for the “Morning Impaired”
I have a son or two that could benefit from cute little Clocky. Clocky is an alarm clock on wheels. Put Clocky on your nightstand and let him do the rest. He will give you one chance to rise and shine come morning. However, if your sleepyhead fails to rise to the first call, Clocky will hop off of the nightstand, with it’s alarm blaring, and roll all around the room, leaving the one who shares a room with Clocky no other choice than to get up out of bed, and find cute little Clocky, to turn him off! For only $50, you may never have to shout, “Time to get up!” at that certain male in your life over and over again each the morning. Of course, there is a high probability that Clocky might get “broken” quickly, too. You take your chances with this gift.
So, there you have it. Some fresh, electronic gift ideas for men. And, I have a few ideas for the guys that I love, too. Happy Holidays!
