Exodus 2:11-15 Moses Flees to Midian (New International Version)
11 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. 12 Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”
14 The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.”
15 When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well.
Moses has a specific mission and fled. Many of us are like Moses everyday. We all have a specific mission in life, and we must figure out what it is. What makes you upset is the thing that your mission is tied with. Are you upset with poverty? Are you upset with healthcare? Are you upset with drunk drivers? Are you upset with obesity?
How do you know what your mission in life is? The thing that you are angry about should not debilitate you, but should motivate you. Realize that the enemy is strategic in his plan to destroy you. The hell you are facing today is a sign of the mission that you have for your life. If you are having an attack today it will be a blessing tomorrow. GOD will direct your steps to the location where you mission lies. You must be sensitive to the spirit and understand what is occurring in your life.
Your mission in life is not connected to church, but with a specific person or a place. When you bump into your emotions you will bump into your mission. When you find your mission you will hate the things that drive you crazy. If you hate debt you will find a way to become prosperous and learn techniques to teach other people. The Lord uses your weakness to show you what the mission is for your life.
Many people that have had health problems overcome them and teach techniques on health and what worked for them and what helped them. They want to be a blessing for other people. Instead of holding onto it they want to share it with the world.
The tasks that are the most difficult to carry out in which you need to place the most effort is another sign of your mission. Finding your mission only comes through challenge, there will be many more obstacles and challenges placed in your path when a particular assignment is the one that you, specifically, need to accomplish. Many people that have had health problems overcome them and teach techniques on health and what worked for them and what helped them. They want to be a blessing for other people. Instead of holding onto it they want to share it with the world.
Midian translates to the place of covering. When you find your mission realize that you are covered. Your mission will make you vulnerable and will not make you rich or popular. Find your mission in life today!
