Opening your photos in Zoner Photo Studio 11 can appear to be quite difficult, but I assure you that it isn’t. When I first started using this program, it threw me for a loop when I tried to open my photos. After a while, it wasn’t difficult at all. The reason it appears so difficult is because there is so much going on in this program. In this guide, I will walk you through the steps of opening photos in Zoner Photo Studio 11.
There are a couple of different ways to open your photos in Zoner Photo Studio 11. The easiest way to open them is by using the panel in the top left corner. This panel holds all of your folders that are located on your computer. So, that means the folders with your photos are in that panel somewhere.
Let’s take a look at the panel. In the panel, you will see My Documents, My Computer, and so on. Look for the folder that holds your photos. You may have to go through a couple of different folders to get to your photos. For example, if you have a folder created inside of My Pictures folder, you will need to go through the My Documents folder and the My Pictures folder to get to the folder with your photos. By saying “Go through”, I mean you have to click the plus signs beside the folders to expand them.
Expanding folders will show you the other folders that are located inside that folder. Once you find the folder that holds your photo, you will need to click the folder. There may be a plus sign beside that folder if you have more folders in it. However, if you photo is in that particular folder, you will need to click the folder, not the plus sign.
Once you click the folder, you will notice all of the photos that are in the folder will appear in the middle of your Zoner Photo Studio 11 program. From here, you can select a photo and begin making changes to it like applying effects or editing it.
The other way of opening photos is by acquiring them from your scanner or digital camera. At the top of Zoner Photo Studio 11, you will see the Acquire menu. Click that menu and select Copy from Device. When the box opens, click the little icon at the end of the first field. Then browse for your scanner or camera and select that drive. The next box that opens will show the photos that are on that drive. Click the Select All button and then click Copy. The photos will then copy to your main window. Click the Close button to close this box. You will then be redirected to the main window where your photos will be in the middle panel of the program.
