Looking for some Christmas kitchen decorating ideas? Been trying to decide if you even want to decorate the kitchen?
I have made a list of my favorite Christmas decorating ideas for the kitchen. Decorating the kitchen for Christmas really helps pull the whole house together. Even if the kitchen is small and many people will not see it, those who do will love the Christmas decorations.
Indoor Christmas decorating is always fun and a lot warmer than decorating for Christmas outside. Get a nice cup of coffee, turn on some Christmas music and start decorating the kitchen for Christmas.
Christmas Kitchen Decorating Ideas
Christmas Dishes – Using a special set of Christmas dishes are a very festive decorating idea. Theme place settings, drinking glasses, salt & pepper shaker, spoon rest and other serving items are easy ways Christmas decor can be used in the kitchen.
Not ready for snowman theme Christmas plates yet? Any solid color that matches the overall house theme would look lovely.
Amazon.com has free shipping on most orders over $25 and does not charge tax. I like ordering dishes here, because I save money and time.
Cloth Napkins, Hand Towels and Place Mats for Christmas – Hand towels, cloth napkins and place mats are an inexpensive way to add Christmas decor to the kitchen. Solid colors are even less expensive.
Christmas Kitchen Rug – Place a Christmas theme rug or mat in front of the sink and stove. Outside mats also work really well for indoor Christmas decorating, especially in the kitchen. Since most are design to be non-slip in the rain, they work well in the kitchen too.
Christmas Table Decorations – Adding a nice linen tablecloth, a Christmas centerpiece, and a couple candles look very elegant.
Laughing at that because you have kids? Here is a childrens Christmas craft idea. Let the kids make Christmas picture place mats. Attach each picture to the table with clear contact paper, messes will wipe right off and they will not get moved around. I also like using cute stuffed centerpieces, so the kids can play with it if they want to.
Christmas Kitchen Cabinets –
Solid natural wood color doors, buy Christmas tree ornaments and tie them on the knobs.
Doors with glass fronts, Christmas theme window clings look really cute.
Doors painted a solid color, wrap a contrasting ribbon around them so they look like Christmas gifts.
Christmas Lights – Multi-colored Christmas lights are a fun way for decorating kitchen for Christmas. They can be hung under the kitchen cabinets, or on top. Makes a good night light, instead of leaving the stove light on.
I hope my Christmas kitchen decorating ideas give you inspiration. Merry Christmas and Happy decorating!
