The Jaycee Dugard People Magazine cover may answer the remaining questions about Jaycee Dugard and her ordeal. Jaycee Dugard’s People Magazine pictures will at least end the search for pictures of her as an adult. The Jaycee Dugard People Magazine cover pictures are the first pics of her in 18 years, and have come several weeks after she was finally rescued from her kidnapper. Just after Jaycee Dugard’s ordeal had faded away from the headlines, the Jaycee Dugard People Magazine cover story and pictures have put her back in the spotlight.
Though Jaycee Dugard didn’t have any comments for People Magazine, she did let them release the very first photos of her as a grown woman. Right after Dugard wasrescued from long-time kidnapper Phillip Garrido, press and online users searched for photos of the now-grown woman, and found nothing.
Until People Magazine’s exclusive, the last pictures of Jaycee Dugard were from 1991, before the little girl was taken away from 18 years. Now, as she and her two girls continue to recover from their imprisoned life, Jaycee Dugard’s story is retold again by People Magazine, with a new picture to support it.
The Jaycee Dugard People Magazine picture was posted exclusively online at 7:30 a.m. est, along with the cover story for this week’s issue. Onlookers are stunned to see how fit Dugard is, and how she doesn’t look worn down from her 18 years of captivity – at least not on the outside. There are no pictures of her 15 and 11-year-old daughters to go along with it, however.
Still, the People cover story describes Dugard and her daughters as “extremely pale”, while the children still have no idea why their “Dad” is locked away. The Dugards are still in undisclosed locations, undergoing psychiatric evaluations. None of them had any comments for the cover story.
The quotes and details mainly come from experts, police and neighbors – including Cheyvonne Molino, who invited the Dugard girls to her daughter’s birthday party just before their rescue. People Magazine also claims that Jaycee is still struggling to connect with her lost family members. However, family spokeswoman Erika Shulte told the Today Show that the whole family is “close, comfortable and happy.”
The Jaycee Dugard People Magazine cover story and pictures are revealing in some ways, but they can only scratch the surface of what really happened for those 18 years, and what is still going on now. The road to recovery is still slow for the grown-up Dugard, and will not go any faster for a while.
As she and her daughters struggle to face a normal life again, and as Garrido faces justice for his crimes, she is nevertheless “Captive No More” as People Magazine claims – at least not physically captive.
