John Mayer is a Twitter addict. John Mayer’s Twitter addiction ended Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with him. John Mayer isn’t the only Twitter addict in the world, but I would have to say that ending a relationship with Jennifer Aniston would be about the highest loss someone could incur through addictive Tweeting.
I can see how Twitter is addicting. However, I have always been a private person. While I may use Twitter to share interesting things I find online, I hardly ever use Twitter to share private news. I follow a variety of celebrities, just because I am curious as to what they are Tweeting. I also follow organizations that Tweet inspirational quotes. Of course, I am also an avid follower of Associated Content on Twitter.
Twitter can be used on your cell phone, your computer, and even your iPod Touch. You can Tweet virtually anywhere – on the bus, on a plane, on your living room sofa, and even at work. Many workplaces even have Twitter blocked from their network so that employees don’t Tweet instead of work.
Twitter has gotten a number of celebrities in trouble. Just recently, Meghan McCain got into a world of trouble when she Tweeted a sultry picture of herself holding an Andy Warhol biography. Meghan McCain’s Twitter photo showed a significant amount of cleavage, and the world was shocked that the conservative daughter of Senator and former Presidential hopeful John McCain had breasts.
In another recent Twitter slip, Elisabeth Hasselbeck inadvertently sent a picture of her nipple along with her newborn to her family. Luckily for Hasselbeck, her nipple slip didn’t get leaked out beyond her family and friends. However, had she allowed everyone in the world to follow her, her nipple would have been plastered everywhere.
Now, John Mayer’s Twitter addiction has ended his relationship with the beautiful actress Jennifer Anniston. According to Bollywood91.com, sources told Star magazine the following about how John Mayer’s Twitter addiction affected their relationship:
“John suddenly stopped calling her or returning her emails and when she would finally catch up with him, he’d say: ‘I’ve been so busy with work. I’m sorry I haven’t had time to call you back.”
The source added: “Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn’t have time for her and yet his page was filled with Twitter updates.
“Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he’d update with some stupid line. And in her mind, she was like ‘He has time for all this Twittering, but he can’t send me a text, an email, make a call?’.”
It has also been claimed musician John made no attempt to cover up his Twitters.
The source said: “He didn’t even deny it. He knew he was avoiding her. So when she called him on it and ended things, he just said OK, and that he was sorry it didn’t work out.
Quickonlinetips.com gives a list of 29 warning signs of a Twitter addiction. OF them, these are the biggest warning signs of a Twitter addiction. I have to wonder if John Mayer exhibited any of these Twitter addiction signs:
1 – Threaten your wife to get a Twitter account and follow you, or warn her of divorce
2 – Add your Twitter id to the nameplate of your house.
3 – Add your status message as “Follow me on Twitter” to Gtalk and yahoo messenger
4 – Set Twitter as your browser home page.
5 – Print your Twitter id on business cards.
Of course, I will never understand John Mayer’s Twitter addiction. Although Twitter is a neat tool, micro-blogging can take up time that could be better spent communicating in better ways.
