The best time to practice such breathing techniques is in the early morning hours after completing all morning rituals with empty stomach. The individual must sit in the Sukhasan or in lotus pose, with both the palms resting on the knees and eyes completely closed. The thumb of both the hands must touch the index finger to form a circle and the remaining fingers must be kept straight. This pose is called Dhyana Mudra. However, increase gradually so as to perform this pranayama for around 300 times at a time. The speed of this pranayama should be around once per second. Thus, around 60 numbers would be completed in one minute. Initially, the person should perform this pranayama for around five minutes or so and then, gradually increase it to maximum period of around twenty minutes (around 1200 numbers) continuously without any break per day. However, this increase must be done very slowly in the order of around one minute per day. The average person would be able to reach maximum time of twenty minutes within around three months or so. The most important aspect of this pranayama is to constantly think in your mind that all your body ailments and impurities are thrown out while exhaling forcefully. This positive thought process would help immensely to the individual in curing all of his body ailments. This pranayama must be performed very slowly without any stress showing on your face. If you feel tired after performing this pranayama for some time, relax in between by taking deep and slow breathes, keeping both eyes closed.
The diabetes can be very effectively cured through this pranayama technique. I have myself seen hundreds of diabetes patients getting cured through this unique pranayama technique within a period of around three months or so. However, the key is to practice this pranayama continuously without even a break for a single day.
