There’s no doubt that a good flat iron is the key to achieving ultra-straight locks. With so many on the market, it is difficult to choose. If you’re like me, you have tried dozens. Here is my personal take on a newer flat iron, the Linea Pro.
Available Models. Linea Pro offers the C2 Digital, mini ceramic, mini titanium and the Crystal collection. The C2 Digital is larger and better for thicker or longer styles, while the Minis are good for thin or shorter styles. The Crystal collection is an iron for stylish women who desire that extra sparkle while styling their hair.
How the Linea Pro works. The Linea Pro has solid titanium plates that are coated with nano-size particles that destroy 99 percent of bacteria, which eliminates build up and gives hair a cleaner, shinier look. The titanium plates are a step above ceramic plates in evenly applying heat to strands. The Linea Pro has thin, sleek plates that glide easily through the hair to create stick-straight locks.
Extra features. The Linea Pro not only works well, it comes in several stylish designs, including skulls, red cheetah, black, gold and silver. Perhaps one of the most convenient attributes the Linea Pro offers is the digital temperature adjuster. With just the touch of a button, the temperature can be adjusted from 120-410 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also safe for women on the go because it shuts off automatically after 30 minutes. There is also a long cord, making styling in virtually any bathroom easy.
Price. The Linea Pro website (www.linea–pro.com) sells the C2 Digital for approximately $189. I have found that getting this iron on Amazon or EBay can be up to $50 cheaper.
Results. I was first introduced to the Linea Pro by my long-time stylist. She was excited about the Linea Pro, which her salon had just purchased and said she thought it would be better suited for my thick, coarse hair than the Chi-an iron I previously thought was a godsend. I never even thought to try another iron because the Chi Turbo seemed to get my hair the straightest. Though satisfied, the Chi took a lot of time and it never seemed to really glide easily through my hair.
With the Linea Pro, the sleek plates, though thin, allow me to straighten bigger chunks of hair at a time because of the Nano technology. Straightening my shoulder-length bob takes 10-12 minutes tops, compared to thirty minutes with the Chi. One swipe of a section of hair is normally enough, unlike other irons where you may need to go over each section several times. This iron has also made my hair look much shinier and healthier. My thick, coarse hair is touchable and soft after using the Linea Pro C2 Digital Iron. I have been using it for approximately 3 months and my hair has not been damaged at all, despite the high heat. I highly recommend it to anyone with thick or coarse hair for a healthier, straighter style.
