Memo to Fox News: Papers Please

by sawpan

Inasmuch as the current climate of feverish disagreements and accusations in regards to the reporting by various media outlets, a theory advocated by none other than former Communist leader Vladimir Lenin seems to now be playing out right before our senses.

Concentrate and control mass media on everything in society and governmental policies; make it all one-party and control what comes in and goes out and make sure it is positive to further the goals intended rather than the interests of the people – that seems to be the current strategy of the Obama administration with the escalation war of words with Fox News.

Anita Dunn, White House communications director, calls Fox News a “wing of the Republican Party. Her statement reminded me that I happen to like and agree with Thomas Sowell’s definition of a “racist” – a conservative winning an argument with a liberal. Sure she didn’t come out and call Fox News a racist network but whenever liberals get scared out of their wits about anything remotely being close to resembling a Republican, the level of intimidation rises to levels unseen in civility – not that liberals have ever been known to be civil in anything.

The irony of all of this is that even their own side-kick liberal media outlets and observers have raised their eyebrows that the White House would even stoop this low not to mention, create a blog on taxpayer dollars to call out a cable news channel but Ms. Dunn did mention CNN as being a real news network. I’m sure that made the Obama-maniacs smile with glee as their favorite cable news network was mentioned and helped elect Obama although with uncanny deception and cover-ups of his affiliation with unsavory characters – now that is what I call real news.

But liberals have never been known to stick to the program, that is, worrying about issues that matter such as jobs, the economy, national debt, national security and they wonder why those of us on the right shake our heads in the manner we do.

It is flattering to see how they cannot distinguish between opinions and actual news – I assume they still think the first American landing on the moon was really a hoax – but in their own way, it is self-serving to themselves than to accept opposing opinions.

Attacking a news organization is like attacking Al-Qaeda with empty shells. It is risky and has been known to demoralize the people of a nation because if the leader of America, Obama in this case – you know, the one who won the Nobel Peace prize just because – has no backbone and cannot handle the heat. I suppose they don’t realize that Fox News viewers are not just Republican and Conservatives, but of Middle America. What does that say when we are under attack by an actual foreign enemy?

Adding to more of her ignorant flailing about Fox News, Dunn goes on to say, “”It was a time this country was in two wars. We’d had a financial collapse probably more significant than any financial collapse since the Great Depression. If you were a Fox News viewer in the fall election, what you would have seen would have been that the biggest stories and biggest threats facing America were a guy named Bill Ayers and something called ACORN.”

Sorry Ms. Dunn, but that was “real” news that your favorite liberal stations forgot to report on.

If liberal ideology is so true and cannot be discounted, then why pull stunts like this just to prove a point? I guess the answer lies with statements Obama made at the White House Correspondents Dinner in May, 2009, concerning Fox News when he said, “Most of you covered me; all of you voted for me,” which spawned laughter as well as applause from the gathering of journalists. “Apologies to the Fox table.” – Which is about as transparent the Obama administration has been since January 20.

I do have a few solutions for the Obama administration concerning this whining about Fox News. Your point in time would be better spent on the significant issues that voters are worried about than whining like a bunch of cry-babies. Or better yet, keep the whining to a respite and let Fox news report the truth, their opposing opinions or you can also return to mother land, Illinois.

Before the Obama administration insinuates that Fox News is spreading lies, how about producing a proving point that this isn’t about Fox News at all, but about silencing the right.
