Restaurant Week in Atlanta, Georgia is an annual event that allows local restaurants to promote business to their establishments. Since Atlanta is a pretty sizeable city, there are several different Restaurant Weeks in the area. Downtown Restaurant just recently ended, and Midtown Restaurant Week will be from August 29th through September 6th 2009. For $25 pp, you will receive a scrumptious 3-course meal at the participating restaurant of your choice. Reservations can be made online, and due to the huge crowds expected, it’s actually suggested that you made reservations. Taxes and gratuity is extra, as well as anything else that you may want to order. Of the more than 25 restaurants participating in the annual event, there are 5 that really stand out as being some of the absolute best.
This restaurant is top on Midtown Atlanta’s Restaurant Week’s list of best choices. Not only does Chow Baby offer free regular and valet parking, but unlike many of the other restaurant week choices that serve only 3 courses for $25 pp, they offer 4! The first course is the appetizer, in which you’re able to choose between Chicken Pot Stickers, Vegetable Egg Rolls and Kobe Beef. The second course is your salad, a warm Panko-crusted goat cheese salad. The entrée is the third course, which consists of unlimited trips to the fresh Stir-fry bar. Dessert is the final course, allowing you to choose either Chocolate torte or Vanilla Bean ice cream with chocolate sauce. Located Howell Rd (they also have a second location as well), Chow Baby’s dinner hours are Monday – Saturday from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm and Sundays from 5pm – 10pm. This delectable restaurant has lunch hours as well, but Restaurant Week’s meals can only be purchased during dinnertime hours.
This restaurant is top on the list of Restaurant Week participants due to the fact that for $25, you get a 3-course meal for 2 people! This is an awesome savings that not many other participants are offering. The first course allows you and a guest to each choose one FIGOttini. The second course allows you and your guest to each choose either pasta or ravioli and sauce. For dessert, the 3rd course, you both choose a dessert. Figo Pasta hours are Monday – Friday, 11:30 – 9:30pm, Saturdays from 5 pm – 10 pm and Sundays 5pm – 9:30pm.
This Restaurant Week participant is another terrific choice because you get 4 courses for $25 pp instead of 3, which is most common. Beleza’s hours are Monday – Thursday, 11 am – 13:30pm, Friday 11 am – 12am, Saturday 12 noon to 12 midnight, and Sundays12 noon – 10 pm. Their Restaurant Week menu allows you to choose any 4 of the following: Summer Fruit Salsa, Black Bean Hummus, Avocado Dip, Bhutanese Red Rice, Applewood Smoked Salmon, Shrimp Moqueca, Sorbet Three way and Chocolate Tart.
4th & Swift
For a fine dining experience, this Restaurant Week participant is a real treat for only $25 pp. 4th & Swift serves dinner nightly, Sunday – Thursday, 5:30 pm – 10:00 and Friday and Saturday, 5:30-11pm. Their Restaurant Week menu is as follows: 1st course, you will choose either Local Sweet Corn Soup or Salad of Bibb Lettuce. For the main course, you have the choice of Crispy Summer Flounder or Wood Grilled Leg of Lamb. Fennel Crème Brule and Baked Chocolate Mousse are the 3rd course choices.
Water Haven Restaurant
If you’re searching for the perfect Restaurant Week participant to dine at, this restaurant is a wonderful choice if you enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and plenty of ambiance. Their hours are Monday – Thursday, 11am – 10pm, Friday 11am – 11pm and Saturday from 5pm – 11pm. Their Restaurant Week menu allows you to choose 1 item for each of the 3 courses for $25 pp. The first course gives you the choice of Lamb Sliders, Fried Green Tomato, Calamari, Crab Cake or Water Haven Caesar. You have the choice of Georgia Trout, Roasted Chicken, Salmon, Flatiron Steak, Fresh Vegetable Plate or Braised Oxtails for the main course. For dessert, you can choose from the Lemon Blueberry Panacotta, Chocolate Icebox Pie or the Chef’s Daily Special Dessert.
