Jacob “Tito” Ortiz was born in 1975 in Huntington Beach California. Practicing wrestling as a sophomore at Huntington Beach High School, he built a foundation for his future in MMA. In 1997, at the age of 13, Ortiz was a member of the UFC. Most of his career within Mixed Martial Arts lies within the UFC. One of the biggest stars of the UFC, Ortiz has headlined several Pay-Per-View specials and have been seen on many magazine covers, such as Black Belt Magazine. Ortiz has also been featured in some big screen movies. Back 2 the Cradle, and the Turkish film, Valley of the Wolves.
Tito Ortiz has been described as a charismatic, highly criticized and a controversial fighter. Some tough opponents he has fought against include Ken Shamrock, Evan Tanner, and Randy Couture.
In October of 2008, Ortiz had back surgery in Las Vegas, Nevada, due to his fight with Randy Couture. It was predicted that he would return to the ring badder and better than ever. In July of 2009, Ortiz was re-signed with the UFC, but at this time, no fights have been scheduled for him.

Out of his 22 matches in the UFC, 15 of them were wins. Eight of those 15 wins were by knock-out wins. One was a draw, and six were losses.
In August 2008, Ortiz announced that he and girlfriend Jenna Jameson were expecting twins. The two had begun dating in 2006, after meeting through the internet, on MySpace. At the time they met, Jameson was a pornographic star. Oritz was scheduled to attend an appearance as the guest of honor at the Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego. He canceled though, when the Marine corp wouldn’t allow him to bring Jameson as his date due to her profession. In November, 2006, while on the Howard Stern radio show, Ortiz admitted that he loved Jameson, that she was no longer in the porn business, and that they were in a serious relationship.
On March 16, 2009, the couple welcomed two boys, Jesse Jameson Ortiz and Journey Jett Ortiz into the world.
Jesse weighed four pounds, while Journey weighed in at four pounds 11 ounces.
While no matches have been set, Ortiz is back in the UFC, and should be seen in the ring in the near future.
