My Firsthand Experience with Paranormal Activity

by sawpan

Before moving into my apartment last year I was extremely excited to finally get a place of my own. I was out of the dorms, and was not living with my parents; life was great. Two other people and I decided to get an apartment together in town that was relatively close to campus. All of the papers were signed and the place was ours. The only problem was, I would be moving into the apartment nearly 2 months earlier than any of my roommates. This was due to the fact that I play football at my university and was required to be there early for fall camp.

Everything in the apartment was great. We had a large living room, a pretty big kitchen, and two large bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. I moved back out to my university and was ready to spend my first night in the new apartment. I decided to take a shower. While I was showering, I heard an extremely loud noise which at the time, I believed the cause to be a loud nearby neighbor slamming a door. As I exited the bathroom, I noticed something very peculiar. My roommates’ door was closed, when it had previously been open when I got into the shower. At first glance it seemed innocent; I figured the wind probably blew the door closed. When I opened the door to their room, I noticed that their window was completely shut, and so was mine. In fact, every single window in the entire apartment was shut. There was absolutely no way the wind closed this door. Then I remembered how loud of a sound I had heard. I decided to test and see what kind of force it would take to create that noise with this door. I had to throw the door shut as hard as I could to resemble the noise I had perceived. From then until my roommates arrived, I left that door shut and never went near it again.

Everything quieted down for a while, until the strangest thing I have ever seen happened. I had gotten a small cut on my knee and a small amount of blood was coming out of it. I decided to take a shower to clean the wound and stop the bleeding. When I opened the shower door to exit the shower, what I saw would make me absolutely believe in paranormal activity. There were bloody footprints on the floor of my bathroom; full on footprints. The amount of blood required to make these footprints would have had to be tremendous; much more than the small cut on my knee could have produced.

At this point in time, I decided to notify my future roommates of these two accounts I had gone through. I called them and told them of my experiences and they merely laughed in my face, completely disregarding any information I had told them. I warned them they might not be laughing so hard when they finally showed up to the apartment.

After these two major events, things quieted down quite a bit until my roommates showed up. Even then, nothing huge happened for the rest of our stay there, except odd little things every now and again. The radio on my alarm clock would randomly turn on; doors would sway when there were no windows open. A weird glowing substance would often appear on my walls and the ceiling at night, and then would be gone the next night. I even went downstairs one morning to find the hands on my clock in the living room spinning quickly around the clock.

These are just a few of the things that happened during my experience with paranormal activity. It still gave me the chills to write this very article.
