The recent National Enquirer Tiger Woods story was already a hot scandal a few days ago. Now, the National Enquirer Tiger Woods report is getting even more attention, after Woods’ car accident. The National Enquirer rumors that Tiger Woods was cheating on his wife were one thing. Now the rumor mill is busier than ever, as gossip columns allege that the supposed affair was at the center of yesterday’s car accident. In fact, some report that the National Enquirer Tiger Woods story caused a big argument just moments before the crash.
Tiger Woods is married to ex-model Elin Nordegren, who’s considered too attractive to cheat on. Yet the National Enquirer helped accuse Woods of having an affair in their recent issue. The alleged woman who led Woods astray is Rachel Uchitel, although she already got linked to actor David Boreanaz just a month ago.
In fact, the National Enquirer Tiger Woods piece claims that Uchitel saw both Woods and Boreanaz during the summer – when Boreanaz’s wife was pregnant. The story couldn’t have gotten more out of control, at least until yesterday morning.
According to TMZ, Woods and Nordegren were arguing about the National Enquirer story, and about Woods’ alleged affair. It was right afterwards that Woods backed into a fire hydrant and then crashed into a tree, setting off a whole day of rumors about his injuries. To take the cake, Nordegren used a golf club to smash the windows and get Woods out, according to police.
Many followers wondered how Woods could have gotten into this accident, since no alcohol was involved and he was just getting out of his driveway. Anger over a domestic argument could have done it, and made the National Enquirer Tiger Woods story even more suspicious.
Since Uchitel is a checkered character, and since the tabloid is always accused of making stuff up, the National Enquirer Tiger Woods story might be dismissible at first. But nowadays, the Enquirer can point to the John Edwards scandal as one time they got an affair story right. As such, they can’t be that easily dismissed anymore – especially if more details about Woods and Nordegren’s recent actions come out.
When Woods was rumored to have “serious injuries” the whole thing got blown out of proportion by the media. The actual accident wasn’t that bad, and Woods got released from the hospital in no time. Although that angle of the story was nothing, these new sleazier angles could be real trouble.
Woods could have survived the National Enquirer report alone, but with this story possibly exposing more martial problems, it will be much more difficult. The local police will continue their investigation today, as more details about what happened that morning are bound to keep coming.
