The Nikon D60 Digital SLR camera has been a real pleasure for us to own and use for the past six months. Living in the Rocky Mountains, our photo opportunities are a daily event, and this camera has served us well even if only for 6 months. We have already taken over 20,000 pictures with the camera photographing everything from a dripping ice cycle to wild life, from close-ups of flowers to scenic pictures of Pikes Peak and many other beautiful rock and land formations in our area. To put it simply, we don’t leave home without it.
The Nikon D60 is a 10.2 Megapixel SLR camera that allows us to print every size picture up to small poster size, which whether you take pictures for fun, as a hobby, or professionally, expands your marketing or decorative options.
As an artist, this camera captures the details very clearly so when I do art work, I can use the picture in front of me to get the details from for my artwork. My wife uses the pictures for print outs for everything from the family photo album to post cards for mailing to canvas prints for hanging.
The Nikon D60 Specs include but not limited to:
10.2 Megapixel photos
Came with Auto-focus lens with Vibration Reduction for those long scenic shots
Split second shutter speeds to time lapse photo’s
Easy operation with intuitive controls
8 preset photographic settings plus shutter and aperture manual over-ride settings.
The Nikon D60 is fun to use, and every adventure we take out doors, we are excited to get home and download the pictures to see what we may have captured. The days of expensive film and processing are over, and even though this camera is only considered an entry level SLR camera, the pictures are beautiful and leaves me no desire to purchase another roll of film again. Imagine the cost of 20,000 pictures in film and developing! We did it all for the cost of a 4 Gb card that holds about 1,000 pictures.
Add to this, the Nikon D60 is replete with options. You can purchase a wide variety of lens’s for this camera from macro to telescopic, from manual only to a choice of manual and auto focusing, from tripods to wireless remote controls for taking pictures without touching the camera making those scenic shots and self portraits both fun and easy as well as nearly fool proof. As a result of this purchase, we are sold on Nikon and will likely upgrade to a Nikon D90 or better. We are more than pleased with this camera, and it’s novelty hasn’t nor do we expect it to wear off any time soon. The Nikon D60 makes photography fun.
