One of the things I have found when using the disinfecting wipes of a few of the other brands, is that it left behind a not too pleasant aroma, leaving the room have a musty rather than clean smell. When I tried the Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, when it went on sale, I was immediately hooked and decided to write a review about this product.
Lysol is well known to be product that kills bacteria and germs. Because of the Flu virus that has been going around, Lysol had another tag on it that said in bold lettering that it Kills Flu Virus. They also packaged it in such a way as to show that without a doubt it disinfects all the areas it touches.
I bought the Citrus Scent. I am not crazy about those sweet smelling, or flower like scents. I am allergic to most fragrances but this scent has not bothered me. I bought the container with the flip-top that allowed me to pull out one sheet at a time for use in my review. I think this is a great type of packaging and I found that most other brands use the same type of containers.
There is a full side of the box with directions on how to use the product so all I will say is that on the front of the container of Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, in large letters it says 4 in 1- kills 99.9% of Germs, Tough on Messes, For use in Kitchen and Bathroom and strong wipe. I could not prove the amount of germs I had in each of the rooms, but I could make a mess and see if it is tough on the mess and if it is a strong wipe in both the kitchen and bathroom so I could review it properly.
I followed the instructions how to remove the wipe from the inside to get a whip through the pull through top. I twisted and turned the entire green top, (which was not easy) until it finally popped off. Then I had to fish for the end of a paper wipe inside and pull it to the outside. It took quite a few tries to even locate that end tip and it was a bit frustrating. Once I found and put the tip into the container top, it was as easy as pie. Pull out one sheet and the other one follows, remaining ready to be pulled when needed.
I started cleaning by using the Lysol disinfecting wipe in my kitchen. I cleaned the sink, counter tops, top of the stove, microwave and appliances. I must say that the sheet went a long way before I needed to pull out another Lysol Disinfecting Wipe. The inside of my microwave was gooky with spilled over tomato soup that I was too tired to clean the night before. Yet the Lysol Disinfecting Wipe cleaned it with only a few back and forth motions of the disinfecting wipe. It made it look sparkling clean and this time the wipe needed to be tossed into the garbage.
The Disinfecting Wipe lasted quite a long time before I had to pull out another one. They are not as small as some other brands, but I would have liked them to be a bit larger. Each wipe is 7/8 in size. The best part of this Lysol product is the clean aroma that lingers in the room after cleaning it with this wipe.
I took the container of Lysol Disinfecting Wipes into the bathrooms, of which I have two. I cleaned everything in each bathroom that could be cleaned even the mirror above the sink. The mirror clouded up but when I wiped it dry with a paper towel it looked pretty clean but a bit cloudy. However I would not use it on the mirror again as I do not think its good for cleaning mirrors. I just wanted to try it for my review of this product.
The bathroom sparkled and I used about 4 wipes in each room because they got wet when I cleaned the sinks. The room not only looked clean, it smelled clean and I felt good because all the germs were killed by the disinfecting wipes.
I trust Lysol and I use their room spray all the time. That will be my next product review but for now I give Lysol Disinfecting Wipes a 10+ recommendation from a score of 1-10.
I keep a container in my bathroom and one in my kitchen so I can use it to wipe clean as needed without having to search for the wipes.
