Christmas is important. And for the avid gamer, the newest and coolest games are an essential this year. Here’s the top games for every system.
DJ Hero
As an avid music fan, I find myself gravitated to the new DJ Hero. Created by the same masterminds behind Guitar Hero, this game actually uses a realistic turntable, not a controller. It takes some mastering but it’s so addicting it’s easy to spend some time perfecting your scratching skills. You can play, sample and mix all of today’s hottest hits, with its simple layout you’ll be wooing the crowd in no time. It’s fun, relatively easy and it can be played in several different modes: Career, Arcade and dual (requiring two turntables). It’s a great gift to give this Christmas and it’s great for all ages above teen.
Vin Diesel’s Wheelman
Wheelman is the ultimate racing game for PS3. With dangerous highway heists and midnight races in Barcelona, the racing world ever changes. Racing in the style of the highest action of Hollywood movies, Milo Burik (Vin Diesel) is never bored. As an undercover agent and highly trained wheelman. His cover is a for-hire driver, giving you the perfect opportunity to explore Barcelona, while staying two steps ahead of Spain’s gang ridden streets. Roam the streets on foot, by motorcycle or hijack expensive cars. Just no matter where you are in this game, you’ll always find a reason for a gun.
50 Cent’s Blood on the Sand
It’s sort of like a military game, just on the beach. Based on a dramatized version of Curtis Jackson’s real life (before his rise to fame), it’s a fast moving game, but only for older teens or adults. You (50 cent) are fighting the streets and their crimes in the Middle East, right along side of his buddies, G-Unit. 50 is touring in the Middle East, when the tour goes sour and he’s left out on the streets to fight his way out, due to a trap he fell for in the market; where a man had lured him into accepting a large amount of cash for no apparent reason. But it seems to be everyone tries to take this from him, and he’s not going out without a fight.
Plus this game features more than 40 total recording, including sixteen never-before-heard exclusive tracks, nine classic music videos featuring “Fiddy” and G-Unit and classic hits from 50’s era albums make this the ultimate 50 Cent experience. With big guns, great soundtrack and better fighting techniques and graphics this game is sure to never disappoint.
Wii Music
This game is really pretty cool. You don’t have to buy the additional instrument shaped controller either, it’s only if you want to (unlike Rock Band). It’s a fun game for up to six players and it’s simple to learn. You can play in one user mode, make your own music, or play with up to six players. And, with over sixty Wii instruments included, your gaming party will never get bored. It’s better than Rock Band as far as maximum instruments but probably not as cool, only because you’re not playing real shaped instruments. It’s a great game to give this Christmas for any age.
