Pamela Anderson has long been and advocate for the animal rights group PETA. Now she has teamed up with designer Richie Rich to produce an outstanding eco-friendly and animal friendly line of clothes called A*MUSE. This line has debuted to rave reviews in New Zealand. Ms. Anderson and her partner Richie Rich are now promoting it in America, Asia, and Europe.
This wonderful organic line of clothing is made of up versatile hoodies, bathing suits, dresses, and beach wear. Many of the t shirts sport Pamela’s image on the front and also that of Mr. Richie Rich.
Pamela stated, “Richie and I are soul mates. We both love to surprise people; we both love to have fun. We both love clothes, even though I don’t always manage to wear them full time! I am proud that he has anointed me his “MUSE” for these designs and collaborating with him is a fantastic experience.”
Mr. Rich is quoted as saying, “Working with Pamela, she’ll say ‘make it sexy, clingy and punky’ – it’s definitely ready for a night out. It is very sexy with a dash of a smile, but also very wearable. Everything from leggings and T-shirts to sexy dresses.”
Many people consider Mr. Richie Rich to be a modern day Andie Warhol with his flair for the eccentric and unique. “Pam has long been a source of inspiration to me, she has this amazing combination of the sweet girl next door but in the most glamorous of ways — I love her lust for life!” Richie describes.
Mr. Rich shot to fame with his Heatherette. He is rumored to have worn one of his creations to a party where stylist Patricia Field saw him. She was so taken that she asked him to create a shirt for Jessica Sarah Parker for her role on Sex and the City. Mr. Rich also designed Pamela Anderson’s simple white wedding dress when she wed rocker Kid Rock.
The sun dresses are darling that have been created for this line. I adored the simple hot pink and black striped dress creation that was fun and fashionable. It was a body hugging mini that was very appealing and should especially captivate the younger audience.
A couple of the fashions were a bit over the top such as the shiny metallic pinkish purple creation that looked like a tutu over metallic pants. This looked like something Madonna might have worn twenty five years ago.
There was an off the shoulder black and white shorts creation that was also very eye catching. It was simple and wearable which holds a great deal of appeal with an eco-friendly line.
The bathing suits were all fun and sexy. The t shirts were also appealing in their simplicity. They were mostly body hugging instead of the baggy t shirts that seem to be so fashionable nowadays.
I think that the designs will be widely accepted just because they are eco-friendly and animal friendly. People nowadays are craving a return to environmentally friendly clothing lines and these certainly fit the bill.
