A friend sent me an email encouraging me to send a free card to troops through Xerox. Skeptical as always, I researched the topic via Snopes and confirmed that it was perfectly safe (and legit) to send a free card to troops through Xerox. Once that was settled, I quickly visited the website
Great news! There is NO CATCH! Xerox has made it possible to send a Thank You card to troops overseas, thanking them for their service and sacrifice. How many times is something so wonderful absolutely free with no strings attached? Here’s how you can send a Thank You card to troops:
Visit the website,www.letssaythanks.com, and pick out any thank you card design available. All the cards have been handmade by children. When you browse through the Xerox thank you cards, you can see the name of the child that designed the card, as well as the child’s name. Select the Xerox thank you card design you would like to share with a troop and click, “Send this card”. After you have made your choice, you will be prompted to add your name and hometown. YOU DO NOT GIVE YOUR ADDRESS. You do not even have to give your email address. To send a free card to troops through Xerox, you can either select any of the prewritten thank you message, or click ‘other’ and write your own heartfelt message. Either way, once you click ‘submit’ your card is in queue to be printed off by Xerox.
That’s it. That is all you have to do to send a free card to troops through Xerox. It takes just seconds to do, but will undoubtedly make a big difference to someone overseas. Think of the sacrifice that is made by our troops overseas every single day. What did you do with your family today? Did you watch t.v. together? Perhaps you went shopping together, discussed the upcoming holiday events, or played catch with the kids outside. These are activities that we take for granted, but it is these simple things that our soldiers overseas are missing out on. THESE are the things that they miss most.
According to Snopes, the Xerox thank you cards are sent out once a month, along with care packages from Give2The Troops. I can imagine that when the troops receive these packages, it’s like Christmas every single month.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to support our military, and for taking the time to send a free card to troops through Xerox.
