The Shauna Sand video controversy is going viral on line. The Shauna Sand video is going to be released by Vivid Entertainment on October 19. The Shauna Sand video will be the center of a heated legal battle, as Shauna contends that Vivid has no rights to the video and that the tapes were not made to be distributed.
The Shauna Sand video was made with her “Miami boyfriend”. Although Shauna Sand admits to making the Shauna Sand video and many more sex tapes, she did so for her own personal reasons. She does not want her sex tape released.
Vivid Entertainment contends that they were approached by a third party and have the adequate rights for the Shauna Sand video release.
Shauna Sand gained popularity not for the Shauna Sand video tape, but for making Playboy centerfold and marrying Lorenzo Lamas in the same month during 1996. Although Shauna Sands and Lorenzo Lamas split in 2005, they have three daughters together and remain close friends.
I would hate to see the Shauna Sand video – especially if I was one of her daughters. When people make sex tapes like the Shauna Sand video they usually don’t think of the consequences that can arise from their actions. It’s hard to tell when a sex tape will open up and bite you in the behind – especially if you are a celebrity.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Shauna Sand video is not released on October 19 as planned. After all – I can’t see Vivid releasing the Shauna Sand video if Shauna Sand and her attorney are trying to stop the release.
Then again Shauna Sand isn’t the first celebrity to be caught in a sex tape scandal. The Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tapes are also owned by Vivid. Kim Kardashian was also the center of a sex tape scandal – Vivid owns the rights to her sex tape too.
I can see where Shauna Sands feels violated. After all – no one wants to have their intimate lives available for the world to see (unless they are porn stars). However, making a sex tape is just asking for trouble – especially if you are a celebrity.
So what can you do if you find yourself in a sex tape scandal like the Shauna Sand video? All you can do is call your attorney – which is something that Sand will do. Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee got $1.5 million – although EW.com estimated in 2002 that the couple won’t ever see a penny of the settlement. The worst case scenario for Shauna Sand is a potential out-of-court settlement to the rights for her sex tape.
After all, she’s a former Playboy centerfold. The Shauna Sand video isn’t the vixens first sex tape and I doubt it will be her last.
