Shopping for TV Bargains During the Holidays

by sawpan

Last year my husband and I broke down and finally bought a new TV. Our previous TV, I had since I was a young girl. It was losing its sound and the color was going. It seemed necessary to spend the money so that the family might have a little bit of entertainment around the house.

Was it worth it? I think so, though my husband may disagree after all he gets minimal time with the TV and has to spend his time home watching Criminal Minds, CSI, and Law and Order all day because that is what I have it on. If you are in need of a new TV you might try shopping at these places all of which carry LCD, Plasma, CRT, and Combo Televisions with DVD or VHS players included.

Dell

Dell is not just for computers anymore. My husband and I bought our computer through Dell and we spent 349 US dollars for an LCD which is really a good price considering most of them go for over 400. You can buy outright or you can apply for credit through Dell Financial which allows you to make payments over a period of time. Not a bad deal.

PriceGrabber.com

This is a nice little site that allows you to compare and buy TV’s and other items. It shows you the best prices around for places like Sears, Dell, Best Buy, Amazon, and so on. Almost the exact same LCD TV I bought, they have listed for 309 US dollars.

Target

Target has some nice deals on TV’s now and again. A 19 inch LCD TV goes for about 199 US dollars while a 32 inch LCD TV can go for 379 US dollars. Target is known for sending out mailers with various deals on them especially for electronics so it’s definitely important to watch for those fliers or pick them up when you go to the store.

Wal-Mart

Depending on what brand you want and what size, Wal-Mart may be the place for you. Similar LCD TV’s vary in range from 328 US dollars for a 26 Inch to 348 US dollars for a 32 Inch. My husband and I got this cute little regular TV from Wal-mart one year. It’s an 18 inch television and we spent 49.99 US dollars on it. That same day we got a DVD player for 20 dollars. Wal-Mart carries a large number of TV’s of all kinds and they are almost always comparable if not better in price them most Electronic specific shops.

PC Connection

If you do not mind shopping online, try the PC Connection. This wonderful site carries a number of items including TV’s. LCD TV’s you can get for as low as 199.95 US dollars. That is not bad, I wish I would have known about this site before I bought my TV which is why it is important to shop around instead of just buying at the first place you come too.
