Are you throwing a Christmas or Holiday party for your family, or maybe just your friends or co-workers? Place cards at the table will make it more organized and people won’t have to guess where they should sit.
These place cards are simple and elegant, great for any Christmas party.
Log of wood approximately 3 inch in diameter.
Pictures of your guests (this is optional, if available)
Cut the log with the saw. Cut each piece of wood so that it is approximately ½ an inch thick and 3 inches in diameter. Make one of these for every person you will be having at your party.
Next decorate the disc of wood with glue and glitter. You can use a tooth pick dipped in glue to make intricate designs or smaller designs like holly leaves. When you get the glue where you want it, and then sprinkle the glitter on it. If you are wanting to create a picture with more than one color glitter – such as holly leaves with red berries, create the berries first and put the red glitter on first, then using the toothpick and glue, create the leaves and sprinkle them with green glitter.
Now you can either write the guests name on the disc with a permanent marker, or use a wood burner, or simply write it with the glue and sprinkle glitter on it.
If you had pictures of each of your guests you could use their picture as their name and just glue the picture of their face onto the wood.
The name cards should be think enough that they will stay upright on the table all by themselves.
Christmas Card Name plates.
A Christmas card for each guest.
A gold pen (could also use green, red or silver depending on what colors are in your Christmas cards)
Place a Christmas card at each seat at the table. Face the card so that the person sitting across from the card can see the picture on the front of the card.
Use the back of the card (they’re usually left blank white) to write the name of the guest that will be sitting at that chair. So the guest will see their name and the guest across the table will see the card picture. You can have all the cards the same or different to suit each guest. This is a great way to save on postage stamps as well since your guests can just take their Christmas card name card home with them. Be sure and you put a greeting on the inside of the card if you are going to do this.
The simplest way to make place markers for your table is to simply put a Christmas tag on it.
Use non-self adhesive Christmas tags. You can even print some out at http://www.freeprintablegifttags.net/category/christmas or http://holidays.momsnetwork.com/introgifttags.shtml.
Write your guests names on the tags and simple lay it down across their clean plates so it is right there front and center. Or you can use some pretty ribbon and tie it around a wine glass or use it as a napkin ring.
