Steve Phillips Fired: An Action by ESPN Takes Steve Phillips’ Job

by sawpan

Steve Phillips fired? Yes, ESPN fired Steve Phillips after the Steve Phillips/Brooke Hundley affair scandal that took the news by storm. Steve Phillips had a sexual relationship with ESPN production assistant Brooke Hundley. When Steve Phillips broke off the relationship with Hundley, she went crazy and caused his family a world of problems.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Steve Phillips was fired on Sunday night. They report that ESPN claims:

“Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN,” network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said in a statement. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”

So now Steve Phillips is without a job and a wife. His wife of nearly 20 years filed for divorce on September 14, 2009 after the “Fatal Attraction” antics of Brooke Hundley.

Brooke Hundley used social networking sites to contact Steve Phillips’ son. She then wrote Marni Phillips a sordid tell-all letter and left it at the residence. When Marni Phillips unexpectedly pulled into the driveway when Hundley was leaving, she freaked out and hit a pillar.

Although I think that ESPN firing Steve Phillips is appropriate, I also think that Brooke Hundley should be reprimanded as well. According to text on Examiner, Brooke Hundley victimizes herself and even filed for a restraining order against Steve Phillips.

So it looks like Steve Phillips is fired for his inappropriate actions. His indiscretions have caught up with him, and he is largely left without anything. Although it is harsh, it is hard to have sympathy for someone who keeps getting into the same trouble time and time again.

Steve Phillips was sued for sexual harassment by Rosa Rodriguez during his tenure as the Mets General Manager. Now, the Brooke Hundley scandal has left Steve Phillips fired.

Steve Phillips won’t be the only person to suffer. His four children will suffer as well, as their parents will split up. They also have the public humiliation of seeing their dad get fired and having the mainstream media follow their dad’s affair.

The fact that Brooke Hundley claims that Steve Phillips “cornered” and “threatened” her in her restraining order, despite all the statements made by the Phillips family against her goes to show that she is crazy. Steve Phillips is fired, but I think Brooke Hundley should be fired, too.
