Survivor Samoa Episode 8

by sawpan

At the beginning of Survivor Samoa Episode 8, Shambo and Laura had a little tiff with each other. Laura couldn’t find her canteen when she came back from Foa Foa, and she blamed Shambo for it. Shambo felt like Laura was snubbing her.

Treemail directed the Survivors to a beach, and Jeff was not there. A note was left behind, telling them that the tribes had merged, and that they had to paint a tarp. There was also a feast left for them.

Russell had suggested that everybody in Foa Foa get together with different members of Galu in order to try to divide them. When this started to happen, Russell’s head grew a couple more sizes. He felt like he was on the top of the world.

Natalie said that she felt like she was at the Hilton over at the Galu trail. She started to talk to Laura, and wondered if the cracks in the tribe were large enough for Foa Foa to penetrate.

The tribe renamed their group Aiga, which means “extended family” in Samoan.

Russell showed Laura his immunity idol. He lied and said that he’d give her the immunity idol if he took her to the top seven. He told her that one of the members of Galu would have to go first though. Russell then showed the idol to Monica and told her that he’d give her the idol if she was in trouble. He went on to show John the immunity idol, and tried to get him to vote off Laura first.

Russell went to Shambo about voting out Laura, and she thought that it was a great idea. She said that she trusted Russell, and thought that Laura was a snake. Despite the fact that she doesn’t like Laura, she doesn’t realize who she’s dealing with.

Two immunity necklaces were up for grabs. The Survivors were going to play a game of tee-ball. They would hit the ball, and wherever the ball landed, they would get that amount of points. Two immunity necklaces would be given; one for the men, one for the women. Each Survivor would only get one hit. Russell almost won; he had four points, and John was the last person to bat. John scored a five, and won immunity for the men. Laura, who Russell had his eyes on voting out, scored immunity for the women.

Russell wanted to vote for Monica, and so did Erik. Dave didn’t like that idea. Erik told Jaison, Natalie, and Mick that Monica was going to go, and he would keep them around if they voted for her. The buzz before the vote was to vote out Erik, but some wanted to flush out Russell’s idol.

During Survivor Samoa’s first tribal council, Erik blabbed on and on about how Foa Foa was doomed. He mentioned how Jaison’s resume stunk. He failed to see the warning signs of his impending blindside. Before the vote was read, Russell brought out his hidden immunity idol. He didn’t really need it, as two votes were cast against Jaison, and the rest of the votes were against Erik.
