For your Thanksgiving leftover turkey, there are a lot of creative and fun things that you can do to enjoy this treat! You can make turkey salads, many different kinds, using leftover turkey! If you have leftover fried turkey, cut into strips or bit sized pieces and add lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese, some black olives and salad croutons, along with your favorite salad dressing and you have a delicious turkey leftovers meal that can be ready in minutes. I like ranch, Caesar or Italian dressing best! For another creative and yummy leftover turkey salad idea, dice up the turkey finely, mix in a large bowl with a few teaspoons of low fat mayo, low fat ranch dressing, shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese, some sea salt, finely chopped celery and onions. This makes a fabulous homemade turkey salad that can be eaten on a sandwich or served with crackers and rolls.
Try some homemade turkey Parmesan! Cut up turkey, mix with your favorite pasta sauce and cooked pasta noodles. Add Cheddar, Parmesan and/or Mozzarella or Swiss cheese to it and heat and serve. Any leftover baked potatoes can be scooped out, added to a bowl, along with some milk, shredded cheddar cheese, butter, sea salt and whipped into homemade mashed potatoes, homestyle. Yum! Heat and serve! You can also scoop out your baked potatoes, add them to a large bowl, mix a can of your favorite chili in, along with some cheddar cheese. Stir, heat, stir and serve! Fritos, anyone? Add your favorite dessert to some vanilla ice cream and blend. You now have a great dessert smoothie! Milkshake, or whatever you want to call it. Pick one desert and add to blender, with vanilla ice cream. Chopped up leftover brownies and fudge are marvelous in this. So is apple pie! You can even use frozen yogurt, if you wish. Voila, a frosty leftover Thanksgiving foods treat!
