Someone was knocking at the door and of course Dr. Jonathan Swift knew exactly who that was. He had just finished lighting the candles on the dinner table when he heard her. No need to peek through the eyepiece because Jonathan had been expecting Samantha and was excited that she had arrived.
Opening the door he said, “Hi I am so glad to see you are right one time, come in. Let me take your coat.” Samantha turned as the good doctor reached for her coat. Guiding her along the hall to the dining room he said, “Dinner is ready to be served so I’ll just put your coat away and seat you for the meal of the century that I promised you.” Samantha smiled and the good doctor thought, “How yummy she looks tonight with her auburn hair and beautiful green eyes.” Enough of that there was work to be done here and time was wasting.
As Jonathan seated Samantha in the chair her hair brushed across his hand and he thought, “Just like silk” and with a mental shake walked into the kitchen. As he stated before, dinner was ready to be served and he wanted to impress on Sam how much he put into this meal. It was necessary to him that she enjoys this dinner more than any other.
Bringing out the plates Sam commented, “Wow that is quite a lot of food there I’m not sure I can eat all of it.” “No problem I just want to make sure you get enough, after all spaghetti is my expertise and I know most people enjoy a good plate of it with garlic bread” was his reply.
The meal went well he thought. There seemed to be a lot of small talk and Sam seemed a little nervous. All the good doctor could think of was how he hoped she hadn’t told anyone of her date; after all he was a married man. Finally brave enough to ask he said, “Sam I have to ask you. didn’t share this dinner date information with anyone at all right?” Sam smiled slyly, “of course not you told me you didn’t want your wife to have any kind of power in the divorce courts.”
“Well then lets move on out to the living room and have a nice glass of wine shall we?” “Of course.” They walked into the living room with glasses in hand and sat side by side on the sofa. Jonathan put his arm around Sam’s shoulders and waited patiently. It wasn’t long before Sam gradually leaned her head to his shoulder and closed her eyes. Jonathan thought, “Perhaps I should kiss her just once, but on second thought decided it was not a good idea at all.” After all, his entire plan was going quite smooth now.
Sam appeared completely asleep by this time and Dr. Swift decided it was time to move her to the temporary surgical suite he had in the master bedroom. It won’t be long now my beloved Janie; I shall remove Sam’s heart and place it in you, my loving wife. I just have to play it cool when they investigate this nurse and her disappearance. Before the police even realize this young woman is gone you and I will be living in a nice villa on a French hillside. As he laid Sam down on the table he turned and smiled to the other woman lying alongside on her own hospital bed. Equipment keeping her alive by breathing for her as her heart beat ever so slowly.
