One big draw is the bakery at the fair, which is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This bakery is known for its Big E cream puffs, chocolate chip cookies, and eclairs. The secret filling is what makes the cream puffs and eclairs irresistible. People line up to get these treats.
One of the most popular exhibits is Avenue of States. It is a walking tour of New England. This is the only place you can visit all six of the New England states in less than 30 minutes. When you walk along the Avenue of States you will see replicas of each New England State’s original statehouse, which is sitting on land that is actually owned by that state. Come to the Craft Common where New England’s top artists sell their wares. Look at the beautiful quilts, jewelry, florals, primitives, etc. The workmanship and creativity of these artists, is the best in New England.
