Is it possible there is a viable connection between Barack Obama and Sarah Palin? I think it’s not only possible, but factual, as well as so obvious it boggles the mind why I haven’t heard anyone else forward the concept, so allow me.
Sarah Palin is perceived how in the mainstream press? How is she perceived in the minds of the nation’s citizens? Basically Palin is portrayed as less then intelligent. incapable and they sure tried to imply she’s corrupt. They worked hard to ridicule her and paint her as not ready for primetime. They dug and dug to defame and destroy her for her Christian values, family life, political and social rhetoric and basically everything about her, including her job performance of governor of Alaska.
Brack Obama was treated how by the mainstream press? He was forwarded as new, transformative, brilliant beyond reason, personally likable, competent and a citizen of the world. He was offered by the media as above reproach, not needing to at all explain any of his past associations or political endeavors. Media ignored any and all that could shine negative upon Obama.
Clearly media worked hard to forward him as perfect, or nearly so, while she was painted as dumb and incapable. Obama was beyond reproach; Palin was nothing if not worthy of deep investigative journalistic effort. So, what have the last 16 months demonstrated to the world, all the efforts of the mainstream media aside?
Palin, despite media trying to defame her at every turn is exactly who she said she was – a fiscally responsible chief executive officer, elected official, wife, mother and she has in fact turned out to be the transformative figure. She is a great speaker, just not a lofty one, but she is exceptionally inspiring.
Obama is a chief executive himself, but that’s where the important connections end. He is not at all fiscally responsible – not even close, and anyone who would argue otherwise has a real issue with the facts. His agenda is not in any way transparent. And Obama has turned out to be a fairly good reader of a teleprompter, but little else. Off the top of his head he stutters and stammers his way through.
Palin, according to the citizens who voted for her, was an excellent chief executive officer. She did not win the Alaska Governorship by an 80% margin, but her approval ratings by her constituents at the time of her nomination to the McCain ticket was 80%, so take that for what it’s worth.
Obama came to office with an approval rating higher then the 53% of the electorate that voted for him, but he’s fallen like a rock in a pond. Hmmmm… So Palin’s job approval ROSE after she’d been in office for quite some time, and the longer Obama is in office the farther he falls.
I will admit the job of Alaska governor is different from that of POTUS. POTUS is far more difficult a job. But in fairness, the governor of Alaska has a much smaller staff and by comparison vastly fewer resources and professional aides who implement much of the grunt work of the job.
The POTUS has a staff of hundreds with God knows how many aides to do the grunt work and formulate policy for the POTUS. My point is that while POTUS is indeed a tough high profile job, he begged for it real bad, so no whining now, right, as well I believe Obama has more advisers then any POTUS in history.
But more to the point, Obama was painted as post-perfect, post-partisan, and post everything that had come before – Christ come to cleanse the Temple. Palin was offered as stupid, incapable, colloquial and all other manner of negative portrayal.
Yet Palin was the most liked and approved of governor in the US, and obviously that included a great many that did not vote for her when she ran for governor, but based entirely upon actual performance of running Alaska.
Obama is losing his own voters at an alarming rate, and in fact has fallen farther and faster in approval then any POTUS in American history. And his actual job performance is completely void of any accomplishment, short of talking pretty and shoving both feet into his big mouth when he’s not reading form the prepared teleprompter.
I believe the evidence is overwhelming. Palin was nothing as she was portrayed by mainstream media, and neither is Obama. She was capable and effective, he’s not either one at all. Her popularity and acumen at doing the job for which she was elected rose the longer she did the job, whereas the more we see and hear of Obama the less we like him and the job he’s doing.
Her initiatives were common sense and worked effectively. Obama’s ideas are the antithesis of common sense and thus far world history demonstrates when compared to good old American capitalism his socialistic ideas are a distant second.
She is seen as warm and genuine. Obama is nothing if not manufactured and clearly he is aloof – a real cold fish. He is offered up as a man of the world, nuanced, well traveled and brilliant. She is defamed as colloquial, obtuse, overly quaint and dishonest.
The realities are striking, and somewhat similar in this respect – neither one is as they were portrayed by media. She isn’t anything like the negative projections media endeavored to instill in the American psyche, and he is nothing like what media swore he was.
She has a proven record of accomplishment. So far his only accomplishment is being elected. After her election she did the job so well even those who did not vote for her liked her and the job she was doing. So far Obama is disliked, his approval is falling fast, and clearly based on that, a huge number who voted for him wish they had a do over.
I believe the connections of media portrayal between Obama and Palin are astounding. Neither were anything like media told us they were. She is capable and has proven it. He is incapable, and he has proven that as well. She is Americana; Obama is a creation of the Chicago Democrat political machine.
If this were retail people would be lining up to buy more of her, and they would be forming in miles long lines to take him back for a return on their investment. He is a Transformer though, like the toy – nothing like what he appears to be, duplicitous and indeed he’s “more then meets the eye!”
