Intensity is the key to all success. This was mentioned only briefly last week by my former lecturer at a trading seminar. It was an interesting thought that stayed in my mind for the whole weekend a i pondered about life and its meaning. The world has moved forward so rapidly within the last
few decades. It was only yesterday that comedic silent screen icon Charlie Chaplin was playing on one of the channels on television.Nowadays most of us are entertained by sci-fi effects galore on the screens. And somehow there is a wonder what the advances of science will be like ten years from now. But the one thing that we can learn is from the past. From the successes of those who have achieved greatness. There is always much to learn.
There is one thing though that has remains true for all the success stories throughout generations.Every single one of those greats had this burning desire within them that drove them forward to want to push for their dreams. For example many sports historians will know that it was a young Michael Jordan who was cut from his high school basketball team.He had been so devastated that he spent countless hours playing basketball to get better. He decided he wanted to become better. He eventually also became the greatest of all time. But it was at that very moment in Jordan’s life when he was cut that drove him more than anything else to further success.
Another such person who drove forward with intensity was Warren Buffett. He is widely considered as the greatest investor of all time but to understand the genius behind the man is to understand what were the seeds that were planted.Buffett was born with an incredible love of numbers. And at an early age,he realized that money was something that could make living life easier. He strove from young to save as much money as he could while finding whatever means to make more.He also strove to become a millionaire by the time he was 35.He became one before 30.Until today, the same persistent singular focus towards making money has been the reason for what makes Buffett who he is.And that is why he is the richest man on this planet.
The most important thing is this life is to truly find out what makes us passionate. It could be anything. But above anything, it has to be something that you are willing to spend day after day for the rest of your life going after higher levels of excellence. The only reason why most people never get to do this is simply because most are afraid. It is better to have tried than to regret. In this life,it is better to have truly lived with passion than die with regret!
