Top 5 Mini Christmas Lights for 2009

by sawpan

Christmastime is certainly drawing near and with that said, it is a well known fact that those Christmas lights will soon be popping up everywhere. If decorating is in your blood then you know how easy it can be to buy lights, bring them home, open the box and come to find out that $10 box set you just bought was a waste of time and cash. It gets even harder to pick out really great lights when it comes to mini-lights because so many people are selling their different versions of them and you are tired of trying to take a shot in the dark when it comes to deciding on which mini-Christmas lights would be the best. I have below a review of the top five mini-Christmas lights. All the mini-lights I will be describing can be found at www.christmaslightsetc.com. The reason why I picked this site and not some store you can find on-line and in your town is because I have ordered from here before and have never been unhappy with my purchase. You have a customer sales associate available to talk to you on-line, right when you’re ordering in case you have any questions and not to mention there stamp for the BBB (Better Business Bureau) stated very clearly on their site.

Mini-Christmas Lights 1
35 Clear Mini-Lights 6″ in. Spacing w/ Green Wire
I picked these lights because they are the basic mini-light set with the green wire, however they are long lasting lights with the maximum hours of use is 3,000. The light plug is a male plug that is fused and stackable. The bulbs lock into place and also they are non-twist-able which means little hands can’t get them loose even if they try. Light color on this set is clear and on sale for a low price of $3.85 per box. Type in product id 17547 at the website I provided for you.

Commercial Mini-Lights

These lights feature everything the light set above I described, however if you are a big time decorator, where you do large lighting projects during Christmas these lights allow you to connect 6 sets all together. They can come in green or white wire. You can choose either 50 to 100 lights per strand, and there are many color options for this type of light from clear, gold, multi, and even purple. The prices range from $8.95 to $15.95 per box, however if you do end up buying more then one box then your order can be granted a discount for multiple light purchases!

Battery Operated Wide Angle Lens
First off, I picked these lights because it saves your electricity bills from climbing sky high during Christmas season. Battery operated is also very resourceful of you if you like the idea of “going green”. These lights require 3 AA batteries and can last up to 50,000 hours. On top of being LED lights efficient these bulbs remain cool to the touch. I enjoy this feature because I have always been afraid of the heat a light bulb gives off could possibly start a fire. The wide angle lens take the pointy bulb away and gives you a flat bulb surface, which in my eyes is better because the pointy bulbs always seem to break. Order id is 19428, however there is other product id’s if you decide to pick different colors. On sale for only $ 8.79, these lights are really a safe and efficient way to get a mini-Christmas light.

50 Sky Blue Mini-Lights
Product id is 18760 and the reason I think these lights are worth mentioning is because the color of the light matches the wire the light is. For example these lights are sky blue and the wire that holds the mini-lights are also sky blue. It makes your decorating project much more professional looking then having the plain old green wire. You can plug in up to three sets together. They are sold for $7.95 per box. By the way, if you need other colors such as purple and pink, they have the matching color wires as well for those specific colors.

Mini-Theme Lights
With over 6 different types of mini-themed lights I am sure you will be able to find one that will fit your lighting project this Christmas. These lights are different color bulbs on a green wire that gives the affect of either the American flag with the red, white and blue mini-theme set, or a candy cane theme with red and white lights. They even have a white frost theme set that has different shades of white and clear bulbs to create a snow theme. All these mini-theme light sets have 50 bulbs on a wire. They are all lock and twist proof bulbs and all can be purchased for $7.95 each, per box.

I certainly hope I have given you a start on what mini-Christmas lights you will be buying this year! Happy Decorating!
