Recently, I have heard a lot of chatter that it is getting harder to get page views for articles that are published online. This concern has been voiced about more than one online publishing site. This may or may not be completely true. The truth probably is somewhere in between. The purpose of this article is to highlight three authors that are superstars and are continuing to reign in the page views. Perhaps, we can all take a step back and learn something from each of these three writers. I believe all of them write for more than one site. However, my focus is to shine the spotlight on their successes as Associated Content Contributors.
First up is none other than Crystal Ray. Crystal’s star is high in the sky, but if you look high enough you might just spot her. As of today, her profile page indicates that her 1,774 articles have received 12,918,129 page views. This mind numbing number establishes her as the number two page view earner in Associated Content’s all time history. On May 20, 2009 I had the privilege of and introducing and interviewing Crystal when she reached that truly magical milestone of reaching 10 million page views with Associated Content.

Introducing Crystal Ray
This is a feat, that as of today, only one other Contributor has reached. On that day, Crystal had produced 1,571 articles and earned 10,029,972 page views. This means in 156 days she added 203 articles to her library and increased her page views by 2,888,337. Since that date, she is averaging 18,514 page views per day. If that it isn’t amazing, I don’t understand what amazing means. With these numbers along with the personal help that she offers other Associated Content Contributors, I believe she must be a leading candidate for the PMA Award for Associated Content Contributor of the year. There is a reason for her success and I urge you to visit her profile page and read her articles. Here is Crystal Ray’s profile page:

Batting second is a Contributor that is among Associated Content’s most popular. She truly is a fan favorite and a real crowd pleaser. Though she is widely known and recognized as an Angel, she too is a bright star. Here, is Angel Vee. Today is a big day for Angel and I hope she enjoys it to the hilt. If you have not heard yet, stand back and let me trumpet the good news. Today, October 23, 2009 Angel Vee surpasses 2 million page views. To be exact her 757 articles have garnered an amazing 2,002,687 page views. This news proves that I am not a prophet. When I nominated Angel Vee for an April Best of Associated Content Award, I predicted that she would reach 2 million page views in May of 2010. Angel made me look foolish in passing this mark more than six months ahead of my guess. I had the pleasure of interviewing Angel on July 7, 2009. At that time she her profile indicated that she had received slightly more than 1.3 million page views.

That means that since than, 108 days have elapsed and she has received about 700 thousand page views. This is an average 6,481 page views per day. With this type of progress, I think it is inevitable that she will reach her goal of 5 million page views on her fifth anniversary with Associated Content. Please visit Angel Vee’s profile page and read her articles. I am sure she will appreciate this, as it will help her celebrate reaching 2 million page views and set her on course for reaching her goal of 5 million page views for her fifth anniversary. Last, but not least is Meg C. Meg was the deserving recipient of Associated Content’s Rising Star Award in May of 2009. In case you don’t know of Meg’s accomplishments, you will soon learn that Associated Content hit the nail on the head in giving her that award. I had the honor of interviewing Meg on June 26, 2009.
An Interview with Meg C.
At that time she had produced 243 articles and had received 42,098 page views. Meg’s profile page indicates that she started with Associated Content on April 23, 2009. As astonishing as it may seem, on October 8, 2009 Meg exceeded the 1 million page view marker. I wonder if this is a record for reaching 1 million page views in short amount of time. Today her profile indicates that she has authored 708 articles and received 1,285,547 page views. This is she did in just 183 days. This is an average of 7,025 page views per day. This kind of success in only in her first six months is just about beyond comprehension. In my interview with Associated Content, Community Manager, Darnell Witt,

I asked him to consider a new rookie of the year award for Associated Content. I take this opportunity to urge him to consider making this award a reality. If such an award is created, unless something radical occurs between now and the end of the year, Meg C. clearly should be the front runner for any such award. Please venture on over to Meg’s profile page and read her articles. His profile is right here:

Page views may be tougher to get, but these three women are quietly going about the business of demonstrating that not only can page views can be earned, but they can come in mass quantities Let us all learn from their example and go out get some page views!
