On a regular basis, I purchase small, or individual serving sized bags of popcorn at a newsstand in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. These bags of popcorn are not only consumed by myelf, but also by the sparrows, grackles, pigeons and other birds of the city that I feed almost daily. The brand of popcorn that I most frequently purchase is Utz brand Popcorn, both the Cheese flavored variety and the Butter flavored variety. I think that both of these Utz brand popcorn products are of high – quality and are very flavorful. Judging by how enthusiastically the birds devour the popcorn, they apparently agree. These small bags of Utz brand popcorn are very inexpensively priced and are conveniently sized. I am so impressed with Utz brand Cheese flavored Popcorn and Utz brand Butter flavored Popcorn that I have decided to write a product review of the two items. Presented here, in an effort to assist the consumer, is one food writer’s consumer product review of Utz brand Cheese flavored Popcorn and Utz brand Butter flavored Popcorn.
The Utz Cheese flavored and Butter flavored Popcorn packages that I normally purchase are their single – serving – sized 3/4 ox (21.2 grams) packages. Each of these packages contains a good amount of popcorn, at least enough for a single serving for the average person.
Both the Cheese flavored and Butter flavored Utz brand Popcorns are packaged in standard – type foil snack chip bags. These bags are easy to open and they can also be re – closed easily. Small in size, these bags of popcorn are easy to transport and take up very little space.
The texture of both of these Utz brand Popcorn varieties is pleasant and enjoyable. Almost all of the corn kernels are completely – popped and are easy to chew. Whereas with some brands of packaged popcorn, some of the kernels are un – popped and not edible, such is not the case with these varieties of popcorn. All of the birds that regularly eat these popcorn products also seem to really enjoy the texture of these Utz brand Popcorn varieties.
The regular retail price charged for one 3/4 oz bag of either of these Utz brand Popcorn varieties is $.25c. To me, that price is beyond reasonable, it is downright un – believeably inexpensive. To say that these products are reasonably – priced is an understatement.
